Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in Milan but not drowning in tourist crowds. The Porta Garibaldi area has become this interesting mix of business district and residential streets, which means you get actual Milanese life happening around you. There’s a small restaurant around the corner that locals actually use, and the metro connection is honestly better than staying right in the centro storico where everything’s more chaotic. Plus, you can walk to the Brera district in about fifteen minutes if you want that classic Milan experience.

The Space & Comfort

The room I stayed in had this nice balance — modern enough that everything worked properly, but with enough character that it didn’t feel like a chain hotel. What struck me was the attention to details you don’t always notice right away: really good blackout curtains (crucial for Milan’s bright summer mornings), decent water pressure, and storage space that actually makes sense. The apartment-style units they offer are particularly smart for longer stays, giving you that bit of independence without sacrificing hotel services.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here feel relaxed in a way that surprised me for a four-star place in Milan. The breakfast setup isn’t trying to be everything to everyone — just solid coffee (and I mean proper Italian coffee), fresh pastries, and the basics done well. I actually found myself lingering over breakfast more than usual, partly because the space invites it and partly because there’s no rush to escape like at some hotels. The staff seems to understand that not everyone needs to be entertained every minute.

  What could be improved: One of the staff members was not the nicest, example being that on the last night I asked if I could have an extra washing machine pod, to make sure that everything was clean when the apartment was given back. I was told I need to buy it myself and when asked if it was preferred that I left it dirty the answer was yes. This situation was already bizarre but the tone was simply not nice

  What could be improved: We had a really bad experience with the agency that is managing this property. With only one day prior to our arrival, we faced some family problems and we were unable to travel to Milan. The people behind this property don’t understand what a “personal problem” means. They didn’t want to change our dates and they requested us to pay the whole amount. We understand that there are cancelation policies but we never asked for our money back, we just requested the property to accept our change of dates. They were not willing to help us in any way and they even refused to give us options for cancelation. They just told us that “ they understand” our problem but we have to pay everything. I think that in this industry, some of the owners should be more open to understand that not everything in life happens as we planned. I really don’t recommened you to stay her just because the people behind it are not as nice as we think. Please, think twice before booking this property.

  The place is new, well designed and the staff is very friendly and always smiling.
  The location is just 2’ away from Porta Romana metro station and 3 metro station away from Duomo.
  The neighbourhood is safe and has around a market, restaurants and everything you might need.

  Immaculately clean, very comfortable and secure appartment, friendly staff available to help at any point 24 hours a day. A really super location for getting the M3 Metro line to Duomo 10 minutes and Navigli using the tram about 16 minutes. Great restaurants nearby , we loved the simplicity of Bueno and Bella round the corner and breakfasts at Refeel at the top of the street. Busy market on a Friday morning too. I can’t fault this place for the price.
