First Impressions

Walking into Aiello Rooms feels like stepping into someone’s well-curated city apartment rather than a traditional hotel — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. This three-star property sits quietly on Via Ausonio, one of those narrow streets in Milan‘s centro storico that locals actually use as shortcuts. The entrance is understated, almost easy to miss if you’re not looking for it, but that’s part of its charm.

Location & Getting Around

You’re right in the thick of things here, which means you can walk to the Duomo in about twelve minutes (I’ve timed it). What I really appreciate is how you’re close enough to all the main sights but tucked away on a residential street where actual Milanese people live and work. The nearest metro stop is a few minutes away, and there’s this little corner bar downstairs where the owner makes proper espresso — the kind where locals stand at the counter reading newspapers at 7 AM.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed, with that distinctly Italian approach to making small spaces feel functional. Everything you need is there without any unnecessary frills — good Wi-Fi, a decent shower, and windows that actually open (which matters more than you’d think in Milan). The beds are comfortable enough, though if you’re used to American hotel pillows, well, adjust your expectations accordingly.

Neighborhood Life

This is where Aiello Rooms really shines — the neighborhood itself becomes part of your Milan experience. There’s a family-run trattoria two blocks over that doesn’t have an English menu, and a small grocery store where the elderly signora behind the counter will patiently help you figure out what you’re trying to buy. You know what I mean? It’s that authentic Milan experience that you can’t get when you’re staying near the train station or in some generic business district.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t the place if you need a concierge or room service, but if you want to feel like you’re actually staying in Milan rather than just visiting it, Aiello Rooms gets it right. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out — they’ll tell you which aperitivo spot has the best Negroni or where to find decent gelato that isn’t tourist-priced. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable coming back in the evening after a long day of walking around the city, dropping your shopping bags, and planning where to have dinner like you actually live there.

  Near the metro station. Walk to Duomo Di Milano is
  about 20 minutes aways, Navigli disrict wiht bars. Rooms itself was clean and tidy.
  
  What could be improved: Only think that we didn't like, during the time we were in the city, cleaner moved our personal stuff around.

  Clean with great aircon! Enough space for us as it was simply a place to rest our heads at night, we were out and about a lot. Water supplied plus extra in the fridge for only one euro was a bonus.
  Beds fabulous and pillows too.
  
  What could be improved: Not mad keen on the area as it was a bit far from where we wanted to be but we just used taxis a bit.
  The shower was VERY small and not fabulous water strength but ok.
  SO many keys to get to our room!

  Good location in a good neighbourhood. In walking distance to the Last Supper, several churches, Museum of Technology, Navigli. Very clean room and bathroom. Slippers, toothbrush/ paste, a bottle of water are provided. Coffee/ tea is for free, and there is also a minibar with other drinks for charge. Good communication, independent getting in/out.
  
  What could be improved: I had to be rather insistent on 2 separate beds, but they where organised.

  the emploies were very kind and helpfull. hte location of hotel is central and there is a metro near by the hotel.

  Everything was perfect—our room, the staff, the location, and the facilities. I initially thought it was far from the Duomo di Milano, but it was only a 10-15 minute walk. I really appreciated the staff and their professionalism. I highly recommend it to everyone.

  I was super pleased with my stay at Aiello rooms. I accidentally arrived at the wrong hotel location but the staff at both locations went above and beyond to ensure I got to the correct location. The staff were a huge help in getting to and into my room.
  
  What could be improved: The location/area is not the most pleasing on the outside but don’t let it fool you! It truly is a lovely place to stay

  The property was very close to shops and nearby eateries. Everything was within walking distance!
  
  What could be improved: The AC was on and functioning, but it didn’t really seem to cool the room down too much; so it was a bit hot at night. Check-in was super easy, but it was a bit hard understanding what floor the rooms were on.

  Amazing location, stones throw from the Metro and plenty of mini-supermarkets and cafes around us. Nearly everything was in walking distance anyway and the view from our room was amazing especially in the mornings.
  
  What could be improved: No staff on site, it's not a traditional hotel so we had to find our room ourself and the venue (there's two different buildings) but the staff were helpful via instructions left on the app. Would have preferred to have someone around to show us to our rooms and give us a run down of the facilities.
