Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I really appreciated about the location — you’re in Porta Vittoria, which puts you close enough to the action but far enough out that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds every time you step outside. The Porta Vittoria metro station is maybe a 10-minute walk, and honestly, that connection gets you to Duomo in about 15 minutes. There’s this great local market nearby where you can grab fresh produce if you actually want to use that kitchen.

What Works Day-to-Day

The neighborhood has this nice mix of local cafes and practical stuff — there’s a decent restaurant right around the corner that serves proper Milanese classics without the tourist markup. The apartment itself stays surprisingly quiet despite being in the city, probably because it’s tucked away from the main thoroughfares. You’ll find parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, but that’s pretty much Milan for you — most people just use public transport anyway.

  The hostess of the apartment was very pleasant. We had a problem – there was a mix-up at check-in and there was one bed instead of two separate ones. At first, I thought I had been cheated, but the hostess sorted out the problem in half an hour. She also left us a printout with interesting places in Milan, as it was our first time in the city. The atmosphere was quite pleasant and warm, there were no problems with hot water, it was very easy and good to sleep(I had a very good rest), and the place was quiet and peaceful. There were enough dishes in the kitchen and porridge/pasta.
  
  What could be improved: There is one standard socket in the kitchen and an adapter, which may not be sufficient for complete comfort (all sockets are Italian type L). The toilet seat is uncomfortable.

  Óriási, nagyon jó minőségű a törölköző!
  Van egy leírás arról, hogy a főbb helyekre mely tömegközlekedési eszközzel lehet eljutni, illetve mely közeli éttermeket javasolja.
  A tulajdonosnak, ha írtunk, a kérésünket azonnal teljesítette és kedves, udvarias volt.
  
  What could be improved: Egy kétágyas szoba helyett olyan szobát kaptunk, amelyben egy nagy ágy volt, bár külön szivaccsal. Nem okozott problémát, de nem ilyet kértünk.
  Mégis:elhelyezkedés, tisztaság, felszereltség tekintetében olyan volt, amilyet szerettünk volna.

• Misleading Booking & Disappointing Stay – Brianna from United States – 17 June 2025 (2/10)

  What could be improved: The listing was misleading, we specifically booked a room with two twin beds, but it is one double bed.
  
  The accommodation itself is extremely noisy, located directly next to a busy tram and bus station. The walls are paper thin, we were kept awake by loud street noise and crying children throughout the night.
  
  Additionally, the location is quite inconvenient if you’re trying to site see, it took us 30 to 45 minutes to get into the city center by walking or public transportation.
  
  Overall, I would not recommend this stay. Poor communication, misleading listing, and uncomfortable conditions.

  Had everything we needed for two nights and had a supermarket near and plenty of food choices. Was a fast tram ride to get into the centre too .
  
  What could be improved: There was no toilet seat so was inconvenient for two girls but wasn’t really a massive issue.
