When I first walked up to the Apartment with terrace in central Milan on Viale Premuda, I’ll be honest — the building doesn’t scream luxury from the outside. You’re staying where locals live, not in some tourist bubble, and the second-floor location means you get that authentic Milan apartment feel without the street noise.

The Space Itself

The apartment surprised me with how much light floods in, especially once you step onto that terrace they mention in the name. It’s not huge, but it’s genuinely usable — I actually had my morning coffee out there most days, watching the neighborhood wake up. The space feels like someone’s actual home that they’ve opened up to guests, which I mean in the best way possible. There’s character here that you just don’t get in cookie-cutter hotels.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about Viale Premuda — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the tourist chaos around Duomo that you can actually breathe. The Porta Venezia metro stop is maybe a seven-minute walk, and from there you can be at the cathedral in ten minutes or Navigli for dinner in fifteen. The neighborhood itself has this nice mix of office workers and families, so there are proper cafes and grocery stores, not just gelato shops targeting tourists.

What Makes It Work

This three-star place isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s refreshing. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to grab ingredients from the local market and cook something simple — which, honestly, felt more authentically Italian than eating out every meal. The whole setup works especially well if you’re staying more than just a couple nights. You settle in rather than just passing through, you know what I mean?

Why Guests Love It

Look, if you want someone greeting you with champagne and marble everywhere, this isn’t your place. But if you want to feel like you’re actually living in Milan for a few days — waking up on your own little terrace, walking to the corner cafe where they start recognizing you, taking the metro like a local — then this apartment really delivers on that experience. The 8.5 rating makes perfect sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price in this part of the city.

  The apartment was perfect! Great facilities, air conditioning, clean and in a very central location. The owner kindly met us with the keys and showed us around the apartment.

  The owner met us as we arrived, he gave us a tour of the apartment, we had a outside balcony where we were able to sit out and relax & we had our own parking space for our hire car so it was off the street & safe. The owner gave us information regards to the area & very good English. The area was close to walk to the main cathedral & to get the metro to other places of interest. The apartment was big, spacious, comfortable & the air con was very much needed as it was hot in Milan when we arrived. There are loads of places to eat just out of the front door & great food. I would definitely stay again.

  Alberto was an amazing host welcoming me into his apartment. I had not researched previously how far the airport was from milan city centre and had arrived in milan city very late at night. Alberto was very patient and waited for me to arrive. I was very grateful for his accomidation regards to the delays as it was almost 1am when I arrived at the apartment.
  
  The apartment is very big with two bedrooms. Both very spacious. Of course I seen some complaints about personal belongings in the apartment but this is not the case. Anything that is in the apartment are belongings that bring true character to the apartment and made me feel at home with things from across the world that I can assume is from travelling. It brought real character to the place.
  
  Facilities were perfect for showering, washing clothes , cooking and enjoying the space. The terrace was beautiful and I found myself most evenings chilling out there having dinner.
  
  The central location in the city was ideal with a metro station nearby and tram that stops outside the apartment block.
  
  What could be improved: That i couldn't stay for longer! Some people complained about the noise at night of the tram system. This is inevitable wherever you stay in a city, so if your not able to comprehend a city will have noises then I would imagen its best stay somewhere that is more country side or rural. I really cant fault this stay it was perfect for me and will be recommending to friends that are visiting milan also.

  Location was fantastic, easy for public transport, local restaurants nearby and very walkable to Duomo for example if you enjoy walking. The home was cozy, lived in and had everything I needed. I felt comfortable here and the host was very good at communication.
  
  What could be improved: There is a lot of host's items around but adds character in my opinion. I had room for my things as well. Felt as if I was visiting a friend's house.

  The hotel was in a such dirty area and the flat was so dusty the bed was extremely tuff I recommend not to stay there I was going to stay for 3 night but I stayed only one and he did not refund Because we trusted booking I have booked there , but never again.

  Very stylish and cozy appartement. High ceilings, spacious, with balconies and terrace, has everything you need for living. The location is excellent – 10-15 minutes walk to the Duomo. Near tram and metro, cafes and restaurants. The owner is a pleasant intelligent man with good manners.
  These apparamenti took 50% of our overall enjoyment of Milan. the other 50 were divided between architecture, restaurants and shopping :))))
