The Duomo is literally a five-minute walk away, which sounds too good to be true until you’re actually doing it every morning. What’s even better is that you’re close enough to all the major shopping areas around Via del Corso, but far enough that you can actually get some sleep at night.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was what they call a suite, though it’s more like a really well-designed studio apartment. The design aesthetic is clean and modern — think Scandinavian minimalism but with Italian flair. There’s a proper kitchenette setup that’s actually functional, not just decorative like you find in some places. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night, which honestly is half the battle with boutique hotels.

Daily Life and Amenities

One thing that surprised me was how thoughtful the little details are. The coffee machine in the room uses decent beans — not amazing, but way better than the usual hotel stuff. There’s no full-service restaurant on site, but with that kitchenette and Milan’s incredible food scene right outside your door, you won’t miss it. The staff is genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions, and they seem to actually know the neighborhood well enough to give useful recommendations.

  What a dreamy stay! The apartment is beautiful, you can tell every piece of decor is selected with love and care. High ceilings, big windows, lots of plants! If you want to have an authentic experience in Milan as a traveler, not a tourist, this is the place to be. The location is also really neat, which is a great bonus.
  
  Diana is an amazing, kind host. A curious person who loves life. She loves to meet people who stay in her apartment and learn their stories. The conversation I had with her made my trip even more memorable.
  
  Just keep in mind that there are 2 private rooms available for rent, so you could end up sharing the apartment (living room and kitchen) with someone else. I had the luxury of having the whole space to myself. However, in any case, the rooms offer plenty of privacy.

  Had a lovely comfy stay at Art Design Duomo suites. The location was perfect – just a 15 minute walk to the Duomo, so very central, yet on a quiet street with no noise overnight. Useful small supermarket just along the street. Diana was a friendly, accessible and helpful host – organising for my luggage to be stored on the day of departure and advising on ways of travel to and from the property. Really loved the stay in Milano – would definitely stay here again on any return trip.
