Art Hotel Navigli Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Art Hotel Navigli, you immediately get why they chose this name — the building itself feels like stepping into a contemporary art gallery. The entrance on Via Angelo Carlo Fumagalli might seem understated, but once you’re inside, there’s this really cool industrial-meets-artistic vibe that works perfectly with the whole Navigli district aesthetic.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot in Milan if you want to experience the city’s creative soul. The Navigli area is where locals actually hang out — not just tourists — and you’re literally steps away from the canal-side aperitivo scene. I mean, you can hear the gentle buzz of conversation from the outdoor bars drifting up to your window in the evening, which somehow adds to the charm rather than being annoying.
The Room Experience
The room design is what really sets this four-star hotel apart from your typical business accommodation. Each space feels curated, with local artwork on the walls and these interesting lighting fixtures that create mood rather than just illumination. The beds are comfortable without being overly plush, and there’s actually enough storage space — something you don’t always find in boutique properties.
Dining & Social Spaces
The restaurant downstairs serves solid Italian fare with a modern twist, but what I really appreciated was their breakfast spread. You know what impressed me most? They source ingredients from local suppliers in the Navigli area, so even something as simple as the morning pastries tastes distinctly Milanese. The common areas have this relaxed gallery feel where you might find yourself chatting with other guests who are clearly here for the cultural experience, not just a place to sleep.
Why Guests Love It
This place gets an 8.6 rating because it delivers on authenticity without sacrificing comfort. You’re staying in a neighborhood that feels real, in a hotel that celebrates local art and culture, yet still get reliable wifi, good spa facilities, and helpful staff who know their way around Milan’s art scene. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing the city rather than just visiting it — plus, parking is available if you’re driving, which is honestly a relief in this part of town.

Reviews of Art Hotel Navigli
great location and friendly staff – Christar from United States – 13 November 2025 (10/10)
They have coffee, tea and cookies in the lobby .
We did not ge the breakfast so zi can not comment on that. nice gymI stayed here 10 years ago and was not impressed. It has been upgraded since and is lovely. – Carmel from United Kingdom – 4 November 2025 (9/10)
I did not purchase the breakfast option as unfortunately it was not included in the price of my room. To buy it separately it was 20 euros per person which I thought it was quite expensive. I do not think I could eat 20 euros worth or food and drink at breakfast.
What could be improved: The fridge was full of drinks which you had to pay for (which is fine) but there was no room left for your own drinks/food. Occasionally there was a sewerage smell coming from the drain in the shower when you showered, which then went away.Great location in the Navigli Neighborhood – Deborah from United States – 28 October 2025 (8/10)
The hotel is in a prime location for those who specifically want to stay in Navigli. Trendy hotel with lots to look at, as there are modern art pieces displayed throughout the lobby. Breakfast is available at additional cost; however, in the afternoon there is a long table of snacks and drinks free for the taking. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a beautifully blue-tiled marble bathroom. Terry bath robes are provided as well as a great walk-in shower. Staff was always friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: The price. Very expensive for a 4-star hotel. However, we were visiting during Fashion Week so perhaps that explained the high cost.Great hotel in the Navigli area – Ruth from United Kingdom – 25 October 2025 (9/10)
Great location – handy for the bars and restaurants of Navigli, but still very quiet. Fun hotel- lots of interesting art works. My room had a decent-sized desk to work at and a very comfy bed. Staff were very pleasant.
What could be improved: The bathroom was slightly dated, )but still perfectly fine)Enjoyed my stay. Great location. Too pricey. – Genevieve from Ghana – 24 October 2025 (8/10)
The property was very clean. Staff were so amazing. Very dedicated.
What could be improved: I feel it’s way too pricey. It’s an old building. But it’s clean.Excellent and very clean – Roae from United States – 17 October 2025 (10/10)
