First Impressions

Walking into Blue sky feels like stepping into someone’s carefully curated apartment rather than a typical hotel lobby. The design is clean and modern without being cold, and honestly, it’s a refreshing change from the ornate marble-heavy lobbies you’ll find elsewhere in Milan. There’s this subtle sense of calm here that I didn’t expect so close to the main train station.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about Via Benedetto Marcello — it’s technically in the Stazione Centrale area, but it doesn’t feel chaotic like you’d imagine. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Milano Centrale, which is perfect if you’re catching trains to Lake Como or anywhere else, but the street itself is surprisingly quiet. I mean, you’ll hear some urban buzz, but it’s not the constant honking and shouting you get right by the station plaza. The yellow metro line is right there too, so getting to the Duomo or Navigli takes maybe fifteen minutes.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — every inch actually serves a purpose. The bed was comfortable (though not enormous), and there’s decent storage space, which matters when you’re living out of a suitcase. What I appreciated most was the soundproofing; despite being in a busy part of town, I slept well. The bathroom is modern and clean, with a good shower — nothing fancy, but it works perfectly for what you need.

Practical Details

The staff here genuinely knows their stuff about Milan, and they’re not just reciting tourist brochures. When I asked about where to find good aperitivo that wasn’t touristy, they pointed me toward spots in Isola that I never would’ve discovered otherwise. The four-star rating feels accurate — you’re getting solid comfort and service without paying for unnecessary frills. There’s no spa or elaborate amenities, but the basics are executed really well.

You know what works about Blue sky? It gets the balance right between being close to transport links without feeling like you’re sleeping in a train station. The 8.9 rating makes sense when you experience how smoothly everything operates — from check-in to getting recommendations to simply having a clean, comfortable space to decompress. It’s the kind of place where business travelers and tourists both feel at home, which isn’t always easy to pull off in Milan’s hotel scene.

  Close proximity to train , bus station and Halal (cheap) restaurants. The cheapest grocery store Tuday Conad is also round the corner.
  
  All European hotels have two pin plugs. Just letting anyone know that bring your three pin converter if you need charge. The property has USB charging port but not type C. I had to buy converter from outside costing €15 !!
  
  The property is third floor but good clean and comfy with kitchen facilities. We only stayed one night. It’s number 34 right beside Just India restaurant.

  The apartment is 8-minutes walk from Milan central station and 5-minutes walk from metro station.

  What could be improved: The drainage system of the shower room is not smooth. We are afraid that the water will flood out when we take a shower.

  We had one night in Milan with an early flight out. The apartment was in a great location, easy walk from the train station and very close to multiple subway lines and tram lines for quick access to the main sights. Place was clean with easy check in/out.
