The Neighborhood Experience

You know what I love about staying here? You wake up and walk five minutes to grab espresso at one of those tiny bars where locals actually go, not the touristy spots near the Duomo. The Pinacoteca di Brera is practically around the corner, and if you’re into that whole aperitivo culture, the bars along Corso Garibaldi are a short stroll away. I mean, you could easily spend your entire trip just wandering this area — it’s got that perfect mix of art, shopping, and authentic Milanese life.

The Apartment Setup

The two-bedroom setup actually works really well for families or friends traveling together. Each room has enough space to spread out, and there’s a little kitchenette where you can make coffee in the morning or store those amazing cheeses you’ll inevitably buy at the local markets. The decor is pretty straightforward — nothing fancy, but clean and functional, which is honestly what you want when you’re spending most of your time exploring the city anyway.

Practical Matters

Here’s the thing about three-star places in Milan — they’re not going to blow you away with amenities, but this one covers the basics well. The Wi-Fi actually works (always a relief), and the shower has decent water pressure. Parking can be tricky in Brera, so if you’re driving, definitely sort that out in advance — though honestly, you probably won’t need a car much once you’re here since everything’s so walkable.

What keeps people coming back is really the location-to-value ratio. You’re paying way less than you would at those big chain hotels near the cathedral, but you’re actually in a more interesting part of the city.   Huge apartment in great location with numerous bars, cafes and restaurants close by. Lots of space to spread out. Great views out of the numerous windows which we were able to leave open as on third floor (and needed to as over 36 degrees during heat wave. Well equipped little kitchen with several supermarkets close by.
  
  What could be improved: In Milan during heatwave and there was no AC. Only one small fan that we had to move between rooms. Had to leave the windows open and there are several bars restaurants below which are very noisy until 1-2am. Bathroom needs some work. WC didn't flush properly and bath/shower needs to be properly tiled as paint coming off the walls.

  I believe that it was this apartment that made our stay in Milan so pleasant and falling in love with this city. The host was extremely kind, perfect location surrounding good restaurants and coffee shops, easy access by walking to all the interesting spots, and the apartment was decorated with a good sense of taste which was warm all the time on these cold days.
