First Impressions

I’ll be honest — when I first saw C23 – Premium apartment in Milan listed on Via Santa Lucia, I almost didn’t book it because of the “no elevator” situation. Third floor, heavy suitcase, you know the drill. But honestly? Best decision I made during my Milan trip. This four-star apartment sits right in the heart of the city center, and once you catch your breath from the climb, you realize you’re in something pretty special.

Location Magic

Via Santa Lucia is one of those streets that locals actually use — not just a tourist thoroughfare. You’re literally steps from La Scala (I mean, you can practically hear the rehearsals), and the Duomo is maybe a seven-minute walk through some gorgeous side streets. What I loved most was grabbing morning coffee at the little bar downstairs — the owner, Giuseppe, makes this incredible cappuccino and always asks about your plans for the day.

The Space Itself

The room — well, it’s more like a proper studio — feels way bigger than you’d expect for central Milan. The kitchen is actually functional, not just decorative like some places. I ended up cooking pasta one night with ingredients from the Carrefour around the corner, and it felt surprisingly homey. The bed sits in this alcove that somehow makes the whole space feel more private, even though it’s technically all one room.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here have this lovely rhythm — you wake up to actual Milan street sounds (not traffic chaos, just… life happening), and the light comes in differently throughout the day because of how the building sits. I spent way too much time just watching people go about their business from the windows. The Wi-Fi is solid, which mattered since I needed to catch up on some work between sightseeing.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t a place with a concierge or fancy lobby — it’s better than that. You get to live like a Milanese person for a few days, in a neighborhood where you’ll actually want to spend time. The 9.2 rating makes complete sense once you’re there. Sure, you’ll work up a sweat getting to the third floor, but that just means you can justify extra gelato later. Plus, parking isn’t really an issue here since you genuinely don’t need a car — everything worth seeing is walkable or a quick metro ride away.

  Everything. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. Beautifully presented in a very quiet neighbourhood near the very prestigious university. Within walking distance of great transport links, can walk to the centre and all over the city. Convenience store across the road is fabulous as are the whole array of places to dine within walking distance. The apartment is well equipped, spotlessly clean, secure and safe. We honestly couldn’t ask for anything else. Thank you so much.
  
  Nb for other guests: if you have mobility or cardiovascular issues with climbing stairs this is a beautiful apartment set in a historic building. Six flights of stairs in a dimly lit corridor after a long day of sightseeing and much walking can be a challenge even for us, very fit people. So be cautious of this aspect. I very much stress, this did not detract in any way from our experience here – as we would love to stay here again.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing. Es perfecto. Maybe some curtains in the living and bedroom – this is not a criticism. 😁

  It was close to subway station. So just few minutes and you can go wherever you want. It has 2 AC so it wasnt hot even though outside temperature was over 35 during day. Its worth the price
  
  What could be improved: As i read about some other apartments in Milano, thos one also had issue with drains. I think it can be cleaned in few minutes so i dont have problems while taking shower od washing teeths. Also building doesnt have elevator and narrow hallway so its problem to carry suitcase on third floor. Its not apartments problem but its not easy to carry upstairs

  Very spacious and clean with two dining areas. Walk in Robe was handy for luggage. Lots of storage and good cooking facilities. Central location was great. We appreciated being able to check in late as our train arrived late.
  
  What could be improved: No lift but this was made clear before booking so we knew we would need to go up 3 flights of stairs.

  This is a very spacious and comfortable apartment in a quiet area of ​​Milan. A very atmospheric place with a pleasant design. There are narrow stairs to the top, a beautiful yard of the house. It's great that the windows have shutters that can be adjusted to let in more or less light and air. There are enough dishes, kitchen appliances, even a toaster. One of the rooms has a large bed, and the other has a large folding couch.
  There are a couple of supermarkets and cafes around, but keep in mind that not all of them work according to the announced schedule. There may be daytime breaks from 3 to 7 p.m. or later opening in the morning.
  
  What could be improved: There are three high thresholds in the apartment that you may not immediately notice. It would be great to highlight them with a color on the floor, for example, a yellow tape or a reflective edge. Not so super for the aprtament design may be, but will help minimize the number of trips and falls.
