Charming San Babila Apt. Overview
First Impressions
Charming San Babila Apt. sits right on Corso Venezia, which honestly caught me off guard — I expected something tucked away on a side street given the name. But there it is, this apartment-style accommodation that feels more like staying at a friend’s place than checking into a typical hotel. The building has that classic Milanese elegance you see all over this part of town, and you’ll know you’re in prime territory when you spot the designer shops practically at your doorstep.
Location & Neighborhood
You’re basically in the heart of Milan‘s fashion district here — San Babila is where locals go when they want to see and be seen. The metro stop is literally around the corner, which saved me countless times when I was running late for meetings in other parts of the city. What I really appreciated was how walkable everything felt; the Duomo is maybe fifteen minutes on foot, and you’ll pass some incredible architecture along the way that most tourists never see because they stick to the main tourist routes.
The Space
This three-star setup surprised me with how thoughtfully everything was arranged. The room felt more spacious than I expected — probably because it’s designed like an actual apartment rather than your standard hotel layout. There’s a proper kitchenette if you want to grab groceries from the market nearby (which I definitely recommend doing at least once), and the whole place has this lived-in comfort that makes you want to stay longer than planned.
Daily Life Here
Mornings were my favorite part, honestly. You can walk down to the corner café and get coffee the way Milanese actually drink it — quick, strong, and while standing at the bar chatting with whoever happens to be there. The neighborhood has this rhythm to it that you pick up on after a day or two. There’s no on-site restaurant, but that’s actually perfect because you’re surrounded by some genuinely good local spots that aren’t trying to impress tourists with inflated prices and mediocre food.
Why Guests Love It
I think what makes this place work is that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. You’re not getting five-star service or marble everything, but you are getting an authentic slice of Milan life in one of the city’s most desirable areas. The parking situation is about what you’d expect in central Milan — challenging — but honestly, you won’t need a car here anyway. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re actually living in the city rather than just visiting it, and that’s worth more than fancy amenities most of the time.

Reviews of Charming San Babila Apt.
After reading some reviews I was concerned but the appartment was good. It was clean (shower could’ve been cleaner) and – Martyn from United Kingdom – 20 September 2025 (8/10)
Good communication, 20 min walk from train station, 20 min walk to Duomo, 30 min walk to canal district. On second floor via lift. Snacks and water provided on check in. Host was accommodating regarding check in/check out times. WiFi was fine.
What could be improved: As others have mentioned, the initial access was complicated. Watching the video the host sends to explain the process helped. It’s easier once you have the keys.Superb – Veruska from Netherlands – 30 December 2024 (9/10)
The location was amazing and pets were allowed!
What could be improved: Two things: 1# there was no organic trash can; 2# 10min before the check out, someone called at the intercom but didn’t say anything, it was annoying, my pets got scared and it was difficult to put them at the kennel… and when I was leaving, the lady for the cleaning was a bit rude when I tried to communicate with her (she ignored me).It had everything you needed and was super convenient for your stay in Milan. – Elizabeth from Australia – 11 September 2024 (7/10)
The location was fabulous. Easy walk to the Duomo, shopping and pretty much in the fashion centre of Milan. Awesome cafe downstairs for breakfast and lunch. It had a lift and was very secure. Super comfortable bed, washing machine and couch with a smart tv which allowed you to access Netflix and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Hosts were very responsive and helpful.
What could be improved: To Australian eyes it appears at first glance to be a little dingy. Also because it faces an internal courtyard there are apartments opposite you and you are overlooked. If this bothers you, you’ll probably want to keep the blinds closed. We felt that if this apartment had a coat of paint, new couch covers and they removed the broken light from the main living area it would be an amazing place to stay.Good apartment, liked that there was washer and drying rack. Location was great, loved the bakery downstairs. The digit – Portia from United States – 27 May 2024 (8/10)
Great central location to metro stop, Milano Centrale train station, and the Duomo. Appreciated the bottled water and snacks provided when we arrived late evening.
What could be improved: First day the shower was not draining. The bedroom could use some dusting.Perfect – Janset from Turkey – 12 April 2024 (9/10)
Team was very helpful

Apartment was comfortableGood stay in the center – Alisa from Russia – 24 October 2023 (9/10)
Located really close to everything. It was spacious, there was almost everything we needed and enough privacy.
What could be improved: There was only one teacup, but three espresso cups, but that didn’t bother us as we were only for one night. Light scenarios are quite trickyVery good – Natalia from Russia – 29 September 2023 (8/10)
Nice living room and bedroom
What could be improved: Bathroom is a little bit smallgreat location – Stephen from Australia – 24 May 2023 (9/10)

Great location, nice apartment! – Massimo from United States – 28 April 2023 (8/10)
The location is just terrific and also the availability and assistance received was very satisfactory. The building has an elevator and this is very important in older buildings. The presence of a bakery just downstairs was very appreciated as well…
What could be improved: The apartment lacks of some details, some touches that would make the staying much more comfortable. I would also leave a coupe of bottles of water in the fridge the first night if anybody, like us, arrived late in the evening.Just Perfect!! – Vyacheslav from Russia – 3 March 2023 (10/10)
Good location, stylish apartment, absolutely clean. Perfect in general!) Thanks
