The building itself is classic Milanese — nothing flashy, but solid and well-maintained. I mean, this is exactly what you want when you’re looking for a proper apartment stay rather than a typical hotel experience. The entrance feels more like visiting someone’s home than checking into a tourist spot.

The Space

The apartment itself surprised me — it’s bigger than the photos suggest, which doesn’t happen often these days. You’ve got a proper living area that doesn’t feel cramped, and the kitchenette actually has everything you need (not just a kettle and some hopes). The three-star rating makes sense, but the space feels more upscale than that suggests. The furnishings are modern without being sterile, and there’s decent natural light coming through the windows.

Location & Getting Around

Via Verona is one of those streets that locals know but tourists usually miss, which works in your favor. You’re about a 10-minute walk to Porta Garibaldi station, and from there the whole city opens up. What I really appreciated was having a proper neighborhood around you — there’s a fantastic bakery two blocks away, and the kind of local bars where you can actually get a decent aperitivo without paying tourist prices.

The Details That Matter

The room setup works well for either couples or solo travelers who want space to spread out. The wifi is solid (I had video calls without issues), and the kitchen means you can grab groceries from the market nearby and actually cook something. Small thing, but the shower has proper water pressure — you know how hit-or-miss that can be in European apartments. There’s no on-site parking, but street parking isn’t impossible if you’re driving.

Why Guests Love It

Look, if you want Milan without the tourist bubble, this place delivers. You’re living like a local for a few days, which means discovering the city’s rhythm instead of just checking off landmarks. The 8.3 rating reflects what I experienced — it’s not perfect, but it’s genuine and well-run. The host responds quickly to questions, and the whole experience feels authentic rather than manufactured. For the price point, you’re getting more space and character than most chain hotels would offer in this part of the city.

    The apartment was spacious and clean, staff was really helpful. Checking in and out is easy and convenient on their own plattform.

    What could be improved: Some of the appliance was falling apart easily, we had to be careful with touching things (like doorknobs). There was no warm water when you used two of the showera simoltaniously.

    Everything is on remote, so you can control the house key from your phone. The location is on the yellow line on the porta romana station and moving from there is really easy. The house has a spacious dining room to fit all of us (9 people).

    What could be improved: The parquet on the floor is really noisy, so moving at night means waking everyone up. The private bathroom in the patronal sleeping room is made for hobbit, there is literally no room for legs from the wc and the lavatory so it makes the wc useless, plus it is a bit stinky in there. The other 2 bathroom were fine, even though no soap was inside and we had to buy it outside.

    The location is great , the apartment is spacious

    What could be improved: The sanity condition is questionable… we have made the check in appointment at 18:00, when we arrived at 17:37, there was still the cleaning guy in the appartement. When i saw his cleaning procedure, I am sure that he didn’t spend much time cleaning every spot of the room. We didn’t use any facility in the kitchen, because they are all too stinky to use. And there are unknown stains on the sofa, we didn’t sit on it. In the apartment there was some strange parfum…Not recommend for long stay. Can not use the kitchen facilities probably. If just for one night stay, the price is reasonable.

    it helped us to feel that we were in the city, but not in the tourist section

    What could be improved: It would have been more helpful to have correct and easy directions to work the microwave and to have been notified, or at least warned before hand that the apartment was on the second floor with mini steps. Since we were of the older type of tourist it just we would’ve planned it better in our head about the fact that they were going to be lots of steps to get up and down. Also, in the apartment there were many places that felt that we were on clear about a step up to the bathroom or out of the bathroom and it wasn’t clearly marked for us. We had to really make it clear to our own eyes and body that they were these differentiations in the floor levels. The contact with the manager of it was excellent and he did check in and out to see how kitty could assist us. We also had a little bit of difficulty in figuring out which major lights worked where, and trying to get our adapters even though we did bring adapters for year, they didn’t always work in the plugs in that apartment. Overall, especially because we could all be together in one apartment rather than group total rooms. We really appreciated the opportunity to stay there, and I would certainly let others know about it again thank you very much.

    booked this apartment for my group of 7 and it fit everyone perfectly. the host is super attentive and helpful. check in to the building was super easy accessible through the phone. apartment itself is very spacious and clean, high ceilings, traditional italian decor, very beautiful. Train is about a 5 minute walk, close to everything. thanks!

    As for the cleanliness of the apartment, it is similar to the one shown, and the location is fine. But when other things are taken into account, which refer to the technical shortcomings of the apartment, you see that you did not get what you paid for. My objections relate to many shortcomings in the apartment itself, in the form of heating (it is quite cold, and the air conditioners do not work), there is no hot water in the boiler from the end bathroom and if it is turned on, there is no cold water on the sink, the shower handle in the shower cabin of the small room does not work, the apartment does not have neither curtains nor draperies on the windows, water leaks from the bathtub in the bathroom at the end. It's incredible for an apartment that looks like that in the pictures. But the biggest problem is not the technical details, but the inability of the entrance doors of the building and the apartment to open automatically via the application sent by the owner of the apartment.That's why I and six of my other companions, among whom were three small children, all together with their suitcases had to spend almost an hour in the cold in front of the building, all because of not reporting and not understanding the situation in which we are located by the owner of the apartment. For all the time waiting in front of the building, and trying to reach her by phone, she answered messages at intervals of 15 minutes, where she denied such a possibility and where she asked me to take and send pictures of the building , in order for her to determine if we are at the correct address. Only after I sent my message that I would report the case to the police, she automatically opened the door from her phone.The whole ordeal that we went through happened in the evening around 10 pm and lasted almost an hour, in the cold, all together with children and suitcases, which showed the serious unprofessionalism, disrespect and insolence of the owner of the apartment.
