First Impressions

When I first walked into Design Stay NAVIGLI – Fast to Duomo & Airport, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard building on Via Lodovico Il Moro. But honestly, this three-star place surprised me in the best way. The lobby has this clean, minimalist vibe that feels way more upscale than the price point suggests, and the staff actually seemed to care about making guests comfortable rather than just checking boxes.

Location & Getting Around

The Navigli district is where you want to be if you’re looking to experience real Milan life — not just the tourist version. You’re walking distance from those famous canals where locals hang out for aperitivo, and there’s something really authentic about stumbling back to your room after dinner at one of the canal-side trattorias. The metro connection is solid too, which means you can actually get to the Duomo in about 20 minutes without dealing with Milan’s notoriously tricky driving situation.

The Room Experience

My room was compact but thoughtfully designed — they’ve clearly put effort into maximizing the space without making it feel cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that actually worked properly. What I appreciated most was the little kitchenette area — nothing fancy, but enough to make coffee in the morning or store some groceries if you’re staying longer.

Neighborhood Vibes

Here’s what I really loved about staying here: you’re in a proper residential area where people actually live and work. There’s a great restaurant literally two blocks away that serves the kind of risotto you dream about, and the morning market nearby is where I watched Italian nonnas argue over the best tomatoes. The canal area comes alive at night, but it’s not the touristy chaos you get near the cathedral — more like where young Milanese professionals go to unwind.

Why Guests Keep Coming Back

Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ve ever stayed, but it gets the fundamentals right in a way that matters. The 9.3 rating makes sense when you consider that they’ve figured out the sweet spot between location, comfort, and value. You can walk to some of Milan’s best nightlife, catch the airport bus without multiple transfers, and still feel like you’re staying somewhere with personality rather than a cookie-cutter chain hotel. Plus, there’s parking available if you’re brave enough to drive in Milan — though honestly, I’d skip the car and embrace the metro system.

  L'emplacement est super, l'accessibilité aussi.
  Appartement très fonctionnel il y'a tt ce dont on a besoin.
  A l'arrivée on a trouvé 2bouteilles d'eau et des capsules café super attention.
  La salle de bain est fonctionnelle avc un sèche cheveux
