Location & Neighborhood

The Porta Romana area isn’t touristy at all, which means you’re living like locals do. There’s a great little restaurant just two blocks down that serves proper Milanese risotto — I stumbled onto it by accident and ended up eating there twice. The metro connection is solid too; you can reach the Duomo in about fifteen minutes, but you’re far enough out that parking isn’t the nightmare it is in the center. Actually, having a car here makes sense if you’re planning day trips.

The Room

My room was compact but thoughtfully laid out — everything had its place, and the bed was genuinely comfortable. The little kitchenette setup surprised me; it’s not fancy, but you can actually cook a decent meal if you want to skip restaurants for a night. The shower has proper water pressure (trust me, this matters), and the Wi-Fi works throughout the space without those dead zones you sometimes get.

Daily Life Here

What I liked most was how the place just works without fuss. Housekeeping is thorough but not intrusive, and the front desk staff — well, they’re helpful without hovering. There’s no breakfast buffet situation, but honestly, the café around the corner does better espresso anyway, and you’ll save a few euros. The neighborhood has this relaxed residential feel; you’ll see people walking their dogs and picking up groceries, not crowds of tourists with cameras.

This isn’t the kind of place you’ll Instagram constantly, but it’s exactly what Milan does well — functional, unpretentious, and reliable.   Everything looks just like in the pictures — it’s clean, spacious and welcoming. The area is very nice and convenient, with two metro stations just a 2–3 minute walk away, as well as shops, restaurants, and everything you need at the base of the building. The staff is very friendly, they reply quickly to messages or questions and are very kind. Highly recommend! We will definitely come back here!

  It was excellent value for money, the ap is exactly as shown in the photos, very stylish, cozy and clean. You have everything you need. I loved it was with the windows to the backyard, so it was quite, for a good sleep.

  Great location in Porta Romana, with a good range of shops and restaurants minutes away. 5-6min walk from the bus and train stations. Perfect for a long business/study stay, good natural light, airy, quiet and clean. Would book it again.

  The apartment is super spacious. Location is amazing, so close to restaurants, a metro station, and convenience store. You can get to Duomo in like 15 minutes using the public transport. Also, the apartment has a cute little balcony for photos.
