It’s a three-star property that doesn’t pretend to be anything fancier, but what it lacks in marble lobbies, it makes up for with that authentic Milanese neighborhood vibe.

Location & Getting Around

The Porta Venezia area is where Milan actually lives, you know? Sure, tourists flock to the Duomo, but this is where you’ll find real trattorias tucked between vintage shops and locals grabbing their morning cappuccino. The Porta Venezia metro station is literally a few minutes’ walk away, which means you can reach the cathedral in about 10 minutes or catch a train to other Italian cities from Centrale station — it’s all surprisingly close.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed, which is pretty much what you’d expect in Milan where space comes at a premium. Everything felt clean and functional, with decent Wi-Fi and a small workspace that actually worked for getting things done. The windows open onto the bustling street below, so if you’re a light sleeper, maybe pack some earplugs — though I found the city sounds oddly comforting after a day of exploring.

Neighborhood Gems

What I really appreciated was stumbling upon places that guidebooks don’t mention. There’s this tiny restaurant called Osteria del Borgo just around the corner that serves the most incredible risotto alla milanese — and the owner, Giuseppe, will chat with you about football if you let him. The Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli are also within walking distance, perfect for those moments when you need a break from Milan’s intensity.

Look, this isn’t the kind of place where you’ll find a rooftop pool or a fancy spa, but that’s not really the point.   the location of the property is amazing and the person managing is helpful and responsive
  – the building is very authentic and neighbors are friendly.

  – has lots of the needed things oven , kettle, washing machine ect
  – lima metro station is under the house and a very nice cafe/bar
  – there is shataf/ water bidet

  – pillows are very old used ikea pillows ( and we had 2 pillows without pillow cases which we had to ask for and arrived after 2 days)
  – cleaning is not its best- walking closet , bathroom and bedroom corners also under sofa and underbeds havent been cleaned for sometime( we did some extra cleaning ourselves as soon as we arrived since we had a 4 yr with us)
  – unlike other rental houses – no drinking water (1 or 2 bottles for arrival)is provided so if you are arriving late at night you may need to buy ahead

  Great location just next to the metro station. Spacious flat, comfortable beds.
  
  What could be improved: There was a huge problem with the water in one of the bathrooms. There was no warm water, only freezing cold and the pressure was really low. You couldn't take a shower. The other bathroom was OK, but in the beginning there were also some problems that were resolved. From what I've read this is a constant issue and they don't do anything about it. If you book for many people, using just one bathroom may be inconvenient.

  Location is great, Near shops, park and metro. Plenty of space in the apartment. Good Wi-fi and facilities. As some other guests have mentioned, getting the main shower to work well was an issue, went hot / cold a few times. En-suite was perfect. Great place and would recommend.
