Easylife – Milano – Gregorio 17 – Porta Venezia Overview
First Impressions
Easylife – Milano – Gregorio 17 – Porta Venezia sits on a quiet residential street that feels refreshingly removed from the tourist chaos, yet you’re still close enough to everything that matters. The building itself has that classic Milanese apartment-style facade — nothing flashy, but it fits right into the neighborhood. When I first walked up, I appreciated how it doesn’t try to be something it’s not; this three-star place knows exactly what it offers.
Location & Neighborhood
Porta Venezia is honestly one of my favorite areas in Milan — it’s got this authentic local vibe that the city center sometimes lacks. You’re about a 10-minute walk to Centrale station, which is perfect if you’re doing day trips or catching flights. The neighborhood has some great aperitivo spots that locals actually frequent, and there’s a solid mix of cafes and small shops along the nearby streets. I mean, you won’t find designer boutiques here, but that’s sort of the point.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was clean and functional — think modern apartment-style setup rather than traditional hotel. There’s a small kitchenette area which actually came in handy for morning coffee and storing leftovers from those generous Italian meals. The space feels more like a temporary home than a hotel room, which some people love and others might find too basic. Honestly, if you’re the type who spends minimal time in your accommodation, this works perfectly.
Practical Considerations
What struck me was how straightforward everything is here — no fancy lobby or concierge service, but the staff I encountered were helpful when needed. The building has that typical Milan apartment entrance system (you know, the heavy door with the buzzer), so it feels secure without being stuffy. There’s basic WiFi that worked fine for my needs, and the shower had decent water pressure, which isn’t always a given in older Italian buildings.
Why Guests Appreciate It
Look, this isn’t going to wow you with amenities or Instagram-worthy interiors, but it delivers on the basics really well. The value proposition makes sense — you’re getting a clean, safe place to sleep in a genuine Milanese neighborhood without paying city center prices. It’s particularly good for travelers who want to experience Milan like a temporary resident rather than a tourist. If you’re comfortable with apartment-style accommodation and prefer authentic neighborhoods over prime tourist zones, Easylife delivers exactly what its name promises.

What could be improved: Obiekt brudny, wymaga gruntownego sprzatania. Zdjecia nie adekwatne do rzeczywistosci. Lazienka brudna z plesnia.Place was not a good hygiene level for rent. – Dana from Serbia – 16 November 2024 (1/10)

What could be improved: No issuesPleasant – Pagan from Australia – 20 August 2024 (6/10)
Modern looking apartment as shown in the pictures, secure location in a cute little block of units. The property has an elevator. Short walk to the centre of Milan and train station very close by.
What could be improved: On arrival we were unable to get through the front door due to a particular way of opening the door, the instruction video initially sent didn’t work and we waited almost an hour in the stifling heat while the property manager tried to get in contact with the owner. Our key to the door of the building wouldn’t work and we had a leak in the bathroom, which when contacting the property they initially ignored the message but did eventually send someone to check and fix the problems. No microwave or oven in the apartment. The main bed mattress definitely dips in the middle.Superb – Romulo from Argentina – 5 July 2024 (9/10)
Muy comodo completo y muy bien ubicado
Great location in Milan – Sarah from United Kingdom – 6 June 2024 (7/10)
Quiet and central. Great neighbourhood. Good basic kitchen facilities. Comfortable soaceous sitting room.
What could be improved: Mattress needs changing, it sags in the middle which means we didn't have a good night's sleep any night.Just ok – Maddy from United Kingdom – 29 May 2024 (5/10)
The property was very clean and a short walk away from the train station / metro
What could be improved: Overly the property is extremely clean and it is a good location but
On our first day, the whole power went, and for two of the days we had no hot water, found it very hard to get a response from the property.
we were two young girls staying there and a man unexpectedly comes to the door saying he’s the apartment manager and asking when we checked in and loads of other questions that we didn’t understand, this really scared us as we weren’t expecting anyone. We talked to him through the window as we felt very uncomfortable.
Construction noise all throughout the night, every night
extremely hard to open the main door with the key, seems to be jammed
Sofa bed not comfortable at allSuperb – Oleh from Poland – 30 April 2024 (9/10)
The location is good, not far from the centre and not far from the train station.
