You know what’s great about staying in Porta Vittoria? You’re close enough to Milan‘s center without dealing with the tourist chaos. The Cinque Giornate area has this authentic Milanese vibe — local cafés where people actually live and work, not just snap photos. I mean, you can walk to the Duomo if you want, but you’ll also discover those little trattorias that locals frequent. The metro connections are solid too, which matters when you’re trying to cover ground in this city.

The Space

My room was essentially a well-designed studio apartment — and I appreciated having space to spread out after long days exploring. The kitchenette wasn’t just for show; it actually had everything you’d need to prepare simple meals or store leftovers from those generous Italian portions. The layout felt smart rather than cramped, with enough storage that I wasn’t living out of my suitcase the entire time.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here start quietly — there’s no bustling restaurant scene, but that’s actually refreshing. I’d grab coffee from the bar downstairs (the barista makes a proper espresso, by the way) and plan my day without feeling rushed. The Wi-Fi worked consistently, which mattered since I was mixing some work with vacation time. Parking can be tricky in this part of town, but if you’re relying on public transport like most visitors, it’s not an issue.

  La ubicación me pareció muy buena, en una zona tranquila pero a su vez cerca del centro (Duomo) a pie (20 min) y con negocios y opciones para hacer compras alrededor muy convenientes. Tambien buena conexion de transporte.
  El alojamiento fue muy funcional a mis necesidades, estuve casi 20 días.

  Estaba todo muy limpio. Muy acogedor para una pareja. A unos 30 min a pie del Duomo. Muy fácil el check-in y con autonomía. Todo lo imprescindible para pasar unos días. La atención del personal también de 10.

  Location, warm enough, bed was okay.
  
  What could be improved: No kettle, problems with electricity (didn't have it half of the time), shower door did not close, we couldn't comfortably shower due to that. The door was fixed in 2 days after we let them know.
  A single coffee capsule was left for the two of us, that looked not very hospitable.
  Overall, the apartment was not cosy.

  Posizione tranquilla , tutti i servizi importanti sono vicini , il centro è vicinissimo.Tutte le fermate più importanti sono vicine all' appartamento

  Muy bien ubicado. Con paradas de bus y tranvía muy próximas al apartamento.
  Tranquilo y espacioso. Y sobre todo limpio y cómodo.
  Nuestra estancia duró 7 días y el apartamento tenía todo lo que necesitábamos, incluso un par de paraguas, los cuales agradecimos mucho, ya que llovió varios de los días que estuvimos en Milan.
  El personal que lo gestiona fue muy amable. Nuestra llegada al apartamento fue pasadas la una de la madrugada, y aun así nos lo pusieron muy fácil.
  En definitiva, para la próxima repetiremos seguro

  clean and freshly decorated in an area a 15 min tram ride from the city centre. the bars and restaurants around were great.
  
  What could be improved: incredibly noisy. it was like we were having dinner with the neighbours and they kept going to 1am. someone buzzed the door at midnight and then there were loud voices outside the door at 6am. the single bed was not level – it was a constant fight not to roll out of one side.
