The kitchen is compact but perfectly functional, which I appreciated since grabbing fresh ingredients from the nearby markets became part of my daily routine.

What I love about Via Privata Vasto is that it puts you right in the Moscova district — honestly one of Milan’s most vibrant areas that somehow stays under the radar. You’re a five-minute walk from Porta Garibaldi station, which means easy access to both Malpensa airport and the rest of the city. The Brera district is practically next door, and the Navigli canals are just a pleasant stroll away through some of Milan’s most photogenic streets.

Daily Life Here

Mornings became my favorite time at the apartment — there’s something about making coffee in that little kitchen while Milan slowly wakes up outside your windows. The neighborhood has this perfect mix of locals heading to work and that relaxed European pace you don’t find in the touristy areas. You’ll find excellent cafés within a block or two, plus a small grocery store that stocks everything you need for a proper Italian breakfast.

Why Guests Love It

The 8.9 rating makes complete sense once you’ve spent a few days here. It’s that rare combination of authentic Milan living with all the conveniences you actually need as a traveler. Parking can be tricky in this part of the city, but honestly, you won’t need a car — everything worth seeing is either walkable or a quick metro ride away. The apartment manages to feel both spacious and cozy, which is no small feat in a city where space comes at such a premium. Plus, there’s something satisfying about having your own little corner of Milan rather than just another hotel room that could be anywhere in the world.

  The apartment was bright and spacious, with large rooms and well equipped kitchen. It is located on the top floor with elevator access. The building is older, but it features beautiful marble floors and thick wooden door. It has private parking access and the location is pretty great, with bus/tram lines nearby.

  The apartment is spacious and very clean. There is a tram stop and a metro station nearby. Central station is 3 metro stops away, 10-15 minutes.. There are cafes, restaurants and shops nearby.
