GioiaHomes Overview
First Impressions
GioiaHomes sits on the seventh floor of a building on Via Melchiorre Gioia, and honestly, the elevator ride up gives you a moment to wonder what you’ve gotten yourself into. But once you step out, this three-star place actually surprises you — it’s got that clean, modern apartment-style setup that makes you feel less like you’re in a hotel and more like you’re crashing at a friend’s well-organized place in Milan.
The Location Reality
You’re basically in the Stazione Centrale neighborhood, which I’ll be straight with you — it’s not the prettiest part of Milan. But here’s what matters: you can walk to Centrale station in about eight minutes, which means you’re connected to literally everywhere. The Porta Garibaldi business district is close enough that you’ll see plenty of suited locals grabbing morning coffee at the bar downstairs. There’s a Carrefour Express around the corner where you can actually stock up on decent Italian groceries without paying hotel markup prices.
The Space Itself
Each unit feels more like an apartment than a traditional hotel room, and that’s the whole point of this place. The kitchenette is small but functional — I mean, you’ve got a proper stovetop and a full-size fridge, so you can actually cook if that’s your thing. The beds are comfortable enough, though the walls aren’t exactly soundproof, so you might hear your neighbors if they’re having animated phone calls (which, this being Italy, happens fairly regularly).
What Actually Works Here
The WiFi is solid, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to navigate Milan’s metro system or book dinner reservations. They’ve got a small washing machine in each unit, which is honestly brilliant if you’re staying more than a couple nights. The air conditioning works well during summer months, and the building feels secure — you need a key to get into the elevator, then another to access your floor. Parking isn’t included, but there’s a garage nearby if you’re brave enough to drive in Milan (spoiler: you probably don’t want to).
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place where someone’s going to fold your towels into swans or remember how you like your coffee. But if you want a clean, functional base in Milan without paying Centro Storico prices, GioiaHomes delivers exactly what it promises. The staff responds quickly to WhatsApp messages, which is how most communication happens here. You’re close enough to the Navigli for evening aperitivo, walking distance from Corso Buenos Aires for shopping, and you can catch the airport express from Centrale without dragging your luggage across the city. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
Milan hotels keep travelers close to Gothic spires, fashion boutiques, and metro lines to Renaissance masterpieces.

Reviews of GioiaHomes
Very good – Andrej from Slovakia – 1 October 2025 (8/10)
Great for a short stay close to the Central station, where everything is in reach by walk.
Superb – Keso from Georgia – 25 September 2025 (9/10)
The room was clean, large and comfortable, very close to the metro, easy to get to the Duomo.
What could be improved: The shower cabin in the bathroom is very small.Very good – Kateryna from Canada – 17 September 2025 (8/10)
It was a good experience! Location is 5 minutes from Malino Centrale. Apartment was clean and bright with a nice view. There’s also an elevator which is nice if you have some luggage.
What could be improved: The biggest letdown was that there was no hot water. After a long, busy day in Milan, we were really looking forward to a hot shower, but in the end we had to use cold water. We waited quite a while, hoping it would come, but it never did.Good stay here! – Thomas from United States – 16 September 2025 (9/10)
Very close to train station which made things easy.
What could be improved: The check in confused me slightly, but that was more of my problem since I forgot I turned off data on WhatsApp and didn’t get the instructional check in video.Superb – Alexandra from Romania – 12 July 2025 (9/10)
The location is perfect! Very close to the train station (10 minutes) and extremely close to the metro station (in front of the entrance of the building) 10-15 minutes till Duomo di Milano. Another thing I like is how clean the room was! Absolutely I will come back here when I return to Milan.
Great location and room, I recommend it – Meryem from Morocco – 9 October 2024 (9/10)
Location was great : very close to the metro station, the room was clean, check-in was easy.
Very good – Ayyoub from United Arab Emirates – 30 September 2024 (8/10)
Amazing location with a metro station downstairs and the Milano Centrale station few minutes walk. The host was very nice and helpful and the check-in/check-out procedure was very clear thanks to the host's instructions.
What could be improved: Cleaniness could be improved.Very good – Zulfia from Tajikistan – 3 August 2024 (8/10)
Good location, near the train station. Clean, large room.
Location near main train station – Michelle from Germany – 11 July 2024 (9/10)
We arrived late at night and left early morning, so I don’t have a lot to say except that it’s about a 10 minute walk from the main train station so it is convenient.
What could be improved: Bathroom is outside of the apt.Superb – Marta from United Kingdom – 13 April 2024 (9/10)
Located around 10-15 minutes walk from milano centrale train station. You have to use the lift (7th floor), but easy to use and when you get there, there is a coffee machine, a kettle and iron for all guests to use. Room clean and specious with the mini fridge, but no aircon. Bathroom clean and everything works properly. Neighborhood offers a few restaurants and quite a choice of bars.
For the sights you need to walk around 40 minutes, or use the metro or a tram service.
What could be improved: Nothing really, we were happy with our room….and the location was perfect for our needs.
