Walking up to GuestHost – Sempione & Garibaldi Comfy Studio, you’ll find yourself on Via Paolo Sarpi — and honestly, this is one of Milan’s most underrated neighborhoods. The building itself is pretty typical for the area, nothing flashy, but that’s actually part of its charm. You’re not paying for marble lobbies here at this three-star spot, you’re getting something more authentic.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I love about Sempione — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the tourist chaos around Duomo. The Chinatown section of Via Paolo Sarpi is right outside your door, which means incredible dim sum at like 11 PM if that’s your thing. Parco Sempione is a short walk away, and I mean actually short, not “Milan short” where everything takes 20 minutes on the metro.

The Studio Space

The room is exactly what it says — a studio that’s been set up for short stays. You’ve got your basics covered with a compact kitchenette that’s more functional than fancy, but it’ll handle coffee in the morning and maybe some pasta if you’re feeling ambitious. The bed is comfortable enough, and there’s decent storage space, which you don’t always get in Milan apartments this size.

Getting Around

Garibaldi station is walkable from here — about 10 minutes if you don’t get distracted by the street food along the way. That puts you on the purple line, which honestly gets you pretty much anywhere you need to go in the city. There’s also decent parking in the area if you’re brave enough to drive in Milan, though I’d skip the car entirely.

Look, this isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy interiors. What it does well is give you a real slice of Milan life without breaking the bank. The 7.6 rating makes sense — it’s solid, reliable, and puts you in a neighborhood where locals actually live and eat. You know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want from a city stay.

  What could be improved: the host couldn’t be contacted to get in to the apartment and was 45minutes late. once finally getting into the apartment we were greeted by the previous tenants dirty towels and bed sheets which the host didn’t even remove for nearly 2hrs later when they arrived with new sheets and towels. Again told us they would be back in 30mins but took 2hrs. they place was dirty and had dangerous sockets as pictured and the walls had dirt and scraps everywhere. the pictures on the listing are completely different than the what you get. place was that bad we left a day early. completely overpriced for what it is

  The location is really nice. Despite being in the heart of a very busy area, it is perfectly quite in the apartment. Also, it is possible to take a tram only 300 meters away which goes through Milano center down to Navigli. The place was very clean and modern, and would be perfect for both winter and summer time.
  
  What could be improved: We had some issues with the key. We needed to wait for half an hour to get the key and could not get in contact with the host when arriving at the apartment, and we also had minor issues when leaving the apartment.

  What could be improved: Honestly, it was not a good experience at all. If you are going to choose here based on the photos, It doesn't look the same and the photos are probably from a couple of years ago. Within the photos they put here, the studio appears to be well painted, newly furnished and well designed…there are no signs of the walls being dirty or stained like the reality and what we saw. Same problem with the shiny parquet floors in their photos, which are very different from what we've seen. The place was so dirty when we arraived. There were so many stains on the walls and ceilings (Spider nets !!!). They cleaned the room after we shared the problem with them (which we believe should have been done before our arrival). The problem with hot water for showering that you can see in the other comments was still there which is uncomfy and not something usual. The room was cold and we were not allowed to use the air conditioner for increasing the temperature. The toilet sink was not perfectly sealed and the water runs under it and the room smells badly. We explained the situation for them but after couple of messages they did not respond to us at all.
