The four-star property puts you within walking distance of Porta Venezia and the beautiful Giardini Pubblici, plus you can actually reach the Duomo in about 15 minutes by metro. The Repubblica station is practically around the corner, which means you’re connected to everything without being stuck in the tourist chaos of the city center.

The Rooms

My room had this nice balance of space and functionality — not huge by American standards, but thoughtfully designed with plenty of storage and a work desk that’s actually usable. The bathroom surprised me with its modern fixtures and decent water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in older European hotels). What really stood out was the attention to details like quality linens and blackout curtains that actually block out the morning light when you need to sleep in.

Dining and Amenities

The hotel’s restaurant serves solid Italian fare — I mean, you’re not going to get groundbreaking cuisine, but the pasta dishes are well-executed and the wine list focuses on regional selections that pair nicely with everything. Breakfast is the typical continental spread, though they do a decent cappuccino and the pastries are clearly sourced from a good local bakery. There’s also a small fitness area that covers the basics if you need to work off all that Milan gelato.

  Another memorable detail was the hotel’s amazing scent, from the moment we walked in, everything smelled fresh and inviting. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Milan. It’s a perfect choice for anyone looking for a well-located, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay in the city.

  The service from all staff levels was excellent. They were all personable, helpful, pleasant, and always smiling. The rooms were comfortable and the food was very good. The fitness room was nice and the lobby area enjoyable to relax and hang out in to play cards or just talk.
  
  What could be improved: The spa was closed the entire visit and we had chosed our room with the spa package included for that reason. However, the management worked with us to accommodate our concerns and so we were happy with the fact that they responded to our disappointment. Also, the shower in our room took 15 minutes to warm up which was not only inconvenient, but a total waste of water.

  What could be improved: I didn’t like that they didn’t transmit big football matches games on the television (Real Madrid – Juventus)

  Great location for exploring Milan and close to Linate airport. Fairly large comfortable and clean room overlooking the street. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The street was pretty noisy with motorbikes late on Saturday night which kept my friend awake. But it is a city so street noise is expected.

  We had a wonderful stay at the Cristoforo Colombo! The hotel is luxurious with a 5-star feel, very tastefully decorated, and the staff were all amazing. It is situated at a walkable distance from most points of interest. The rooms were very well-appointed and modern and the breakfast was excellent!
  
  What could be improved: We really had no complaints! The only slight drawbck was that, for the rooms overlooking the main street, the external soundproofing is not perfect.
