Hotel Dei Cavalieri Milano Duomo Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Dei Cavalieri Milano Duomo, you’re immediately struck by how they’ve managed to blend classic Milanese elegance with modern comfort. The lobby feels sophisticated without being stuffy — there’s this warm marble throughout that catches the light beautifully. What really got my attention though was realizing I could literally see the Duomo’s spires from the entrance area.
Prime Real Estate
Honestly, the location is almost unfair to other hotels. You’re right on Piazza Giuseppe Missori, which means you’re basically in the heart of everything that matters in Milan. I mean, the Duomo is a three-minute walk — I timed it. The shopping district around Via Torino is right there, and you know what? You can actually walk to La Scala in about eight minutes if you take the shortcut through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
The Room Experience
The rooms at this four-star property feel more spacious than you’d expect for central Milan. I stayed in one of their standard room categories and was pleasantly surprised by the high ceilings — apparently they’re in a restored 19th-century building. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, with decent water pressure (which isn’t always guaranteed in older Italian buildings, trust me). The air conditioning actually works properly too, which you’ll appreciate during Milan’s sticky summers.
Dining and Amenities
The breakfast situation is solid — they serve it in their ground-floor restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the piazza. It’s a proper Italian spread with good coffee, fresh pastries, and enough variety to keep you happy. There’s also a small fitness area if you need to work off all that excellent Milanese food. The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood well — they gave me directions to this tiny osteria that I never would’ve found otherwise.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the flashiest hotel in Milan, but that’s actually part of its appeal. You’re getting a really well-located, comfortable base that doesn’t try too hard or charge you extra for every little thing. The 8.3 rating makes perfect sense when you consider you’re literally in the city center, the service is reliable, and the building itself has character. Plus, there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that feels authentically Milanese rather than generically international — you’ll see plenty of Italian business travelers here, which is always a good sign.
Hotels in Milan dot historic Brera district, cathedral squares, and design quarters brimming with artisan workshops.

We spent two nights here and absolutely loved it. The breakfast was fantastic with a great selection, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and well-equipped.
The location couldn’t be better. Just a short walk from the Duomo and Galleria as well as a metro station. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Milan!
What could be improved: None.Excellent choice – Teresa from United States – 9 November 2025 (9/10)
The location, breakfast and most importantly the staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly.
Superb – Donna from United Kingdom – 31 October 2025 (9/10)
Helpful staff, large comfy beds, check out at 12 was handy too as was luggage storage. Great location.
What could be improved: Lifts out of order. Noise from the rooftop bar above until midnight on a Tuesday.
Thought being quoted €20 for breakfast on check in and then €30 later in the day when checking how late we could decide on breakfast was a bit of a joke. And per person (wasn't going to pay €30 for my 5 year old to have breakfast!)
