Hotel Metrò Overview

First Impressions

Hotel Metrò sits on Corso Vercelli, and honestly, the name couldn’t be more fitting — you’re literally a two-minute walk from the De Angeli metro station. I walked up to this three-star place expecting something pretty standard, but the modern glass facade actually caught me off guard in a good way. It’s nestled in this residential area that feels authentically Milanese, not touristy at all.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I love about this spot in Milan — you’re in the Fiera Milano district, which means you get the real city vibe without the chaos of the centro storico. Corso Vercelli is this fantastic shopping street (locals know it’s where you go for actual reasonable prices), and there are cafés and trattorias everywhere that aren’t trying to fleece tourists. The red line metro gets you to Duomo in about fifteen minutes, but honestly, I found myself just wandering the neighborhood most evenings.

Room Reality Check

My room was compact but smartly designed — they clearly thought about how to maximize the space without making it feel cramped. The bed was comfortable enough, and I actually appreciated the simple, clean aesthetic rather than trying too hard with fancy décor. What really worked for me was the soundproofing; Corso Vercelli can get busy during the day, but I slept well every night.

Practical Perks

The staff here genuinely seem to care, which you don’t always get at mid-range hotels. They helped me figure out the best metro routes and actually gave me solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots. There’s a small restaurant on-site that does decent breakfast, though I’ll be honest — I usually grabbed coffee and cornetto from the bar across the street because that’s what locals do, you know?

Why Guests Love It

Look, Hotel Metrò isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s exactly why it works. You get reliable comfort, a genuine Milan neighborhood experience, and easy access to everything without paying centro prices. For travelers who want to actually experience the city rather than just check off landmarks, this place hits that sweet spot where practicality meets character.

  • Good – Máté from Hungary – 23 October 2025 (7/10)

    Breakfast, location, beds are comfortable

What could be improved: The staff is a bit, well their sense of humor is interesting.

    Great location for us.

What could be improved: The air conditioning didn’t work and the room was uncomfortably warm. When we complained, they came to our room to fix it but it still didn’t work.

  • Perfect for a visit to Milano – Peter from Australia – 21 September 2025 (9/10)

Hotel Metro worked out great for us. The hotel is super clean, very comfortable, in a good location and all the staff are very friendly, helpful and professional.
Breakfast is a bonus and while there’s not a huge variety, what’s there (eggs, meats, coffee tea, assorted cakes and pastries , fruit, plus more) is fresh and tasty and served by amazing staff.
The bed was one of the most comfortable we slept on while in Italy!
It’s a short tram ride to the Duomo and access to the metro system is a 5 minute walk!
    We’d definitely stay again.

What could be improved: Maybe tea / coffee making in the room would be nice but no big deal!

  • convenient, clean and comfortable. – Shuli from Israel – 19 September 2025 (8/10)

Location is excellent, so easy to reach from Malpensa by train and short walk or taxi.
Staff is vey nice and forthcoming.
The room we had is comfortable, suitable for a couple. Easy access to subway station just about 200 meters around the corner.

What could be improved: The room fulfilled our expectations. The room we had is a bit small, but this was described on the description on the booking site.

  • Very good – John from United States – 15 September 2025 (8/10)
