I walked up to this three-star place expecting something pretty standard, but the modern glass facade actually caught me off guard in a good way. It’s nestled in this residential area that feels authentically Milanese, not touristy at all.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I love about this spot in Milan — you’re in the Fiera Milano district, which means you get the real city vibe without the chaos of the centro storico. Corso Vercelli is this fantastic shopping street (locals know it’s where you go for actual reasonable prices), and there are cafés and trattorias everywhere that aren’t trying to fleece tourists. The red line metro gets you to Duomo in about fifteen minutes, but honestly, I found myself just wandering the neighborhood most evenings.

Room Reality Check

My room was compact but smartly designed — they clearly thought about how to maximize the space without making it feel cramped. The bed was comfortable enough, and I actually appreciated the simple, clean aesthetic rather than trying too hard with fancy décor. What really worked for me was the soundproofing; Corso Vercelli can get busy during the day, but I slept well every night.

Practical Perks

The staff here genuinely seem to care, which you don’t always get at mid-range hotels. They helped me figure out the best metro routes and actually gave me solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots. There’s a small restaurant on-site that does decent breakfast, though I’ll be honest — I usually grabbed coffee and cornetto from the bar across the street because that’s what locals do, you know?

  Hotel Metro worked out great for us. The hotel is super clean, very comfortable, in a good location and all the staff are very friendly, helpful and professional.
  Breakfast is a bonus and while there’s not a huge variety, what’s there (eggs, meats, coffee tea, assorted cakes and pastries , fruit, plus more) is fresh and tasty and served by amazing staff.
  The bed was one of the most comfortable we slept on while in Italy!
  It’s a short tram ride to the Duomo and access to the metro system is a 5 minute walk!
  We’d definitely stay again.

  Location is excellent, so easy to reach from Malpensa by train and short walk or taxi.

  I love the hotel. Cleaning well run very nice staff wonderful breakfast. Very convenient to the metro and therefore very easy to get around lawn. The price is very reasonable and it’s a great way to see Milan and if you’re on a budget this hotel will help you.
