IL RICCIO Rooms Overview
First Impressions
IL RICCIO Rooms sits on a quiet side street just steps from Milano Centrale, and honestly, that’s exactly where you want to be when you’re navigating this busy city. The building has that understated Italian elegance — nothing flashy, but you can tell someone cared about the details. When I first walked up, I was relieved to find it tucked away from the main station chaos but close enough that you can wheel your luggage there in about two minutes.
The Location Game-Changer
Look, staying near Centrale isn’t always glamorous, but this spot actually works in your favor. You’re literally a stone’s throw from high-speed trains to Florence, Rome, or Venice, plus the metro connects you to the city center in maybe ten minutes. What I didn’t expect was how the Porta Garibaldi district — just a short walk north — has become this cool area with great aperitivo spots and modern architecture. The Bosco Verticale towers are right there if you want that Instagram shot everyone’s getting these days.
The Room Reality
The room I stayed in was compact but smartly designed — and I mean that in the best way. Everything felt intentional, from the built-in storage to the way they positioned the desk near the window. The bathroom was modern and actually had decent water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in older European buildings). Air conditioning worked well during my July visit, which honestly saved the whole experience since Milan gets surprisingly muggy in summer.
Practical Perks
This three-star place doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not, but the staff genuinely seemed to care about making your stay smooth. They helped me figure out the metro system and gave solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t tourist traps. There’s a decent breakfast spread — nothing fancy, but good coffee (this is Italy, after all) and fresh pastries that’ll fuel you for a day of walking around the fashion district or exploring Brera.
Why Guests Love It
What really works here is the combination of location and value — you’re getting a clean, comfortable base in a city where hotel prices can get crazy, especially during fashion week or design fairs. The 8.9 rating makes sense when you consider what most travelers actually need: a good night’s sleep, easy transport connections, and staff who won’t make you feel like a burden. It’s the kind of place where you’ll sleep well, start your day right, and spend your money on experiences rather than overpriced hotel amenities you won’t use anyway.

Reviews of IL RICCIO Rooms
Superb – Nailia from Russia – 22 November 2025 (9/10)
I liked the hotel’s great location — it’s easy to walk from the central railway station and to stroll to the main attractions. The staff were very friendly and responsive. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed, pleasantly scented bed linens, and a full set of towels. The bathroom had everything necessary, even a dental kit with a toothbrush and toothpaste for those who may need it. In the kitchen, you can use dishes and cutlery, as well as the capsule coffee machine and microwave.
What could be improved: In the bathroom, it would have been nice to have a hook to hang towels and clothes, and the radiators were cold, so the socks we washed in the evening didn’t dry by morning — although maybe we just didn’t figure out how to adjust them.Great new hotel – Albano from Germany – 19 November 2025 (10/10)
The hotel was very new, and the room was big and spacious. The facilities inside the room were also in great condition. The bathroom was big and very clean. There were two complimentary bottles of water, and there is also a common kitchen area to use. We only stayed one night and didn't need to use the kitchen, but it is nice to have it if you intend to use it. Next time we visit Milano, we will for sure book at this place
What could be improved: Nothing! All was good!Great place for a great price, with amazing staff! – Peyton from United States – 18 November 2025 (9/10)
It was in a really good neighborhood right next to the park. What was nice is that it was in short walking distance from Milano Central train station and it wasn’t too far away from the main attractions in the center of Milan. The staff were the best part about the entire stay because they were very helpful, communicated ahead of time and often, and were accommodating to us arriving fairly late at night because of our late train.
What could be improved: Only thing to note is that the walls are a little thin, so if there is loud music playing from another building, you might hear it. Nothing out of the ordinary though.Enjoyed the stay great facilities and lovely host – Peter from Australia – 24 October 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: Tea was really bad, coffee machine didn’t work but except these everything was excellent
The location is perfect for Milan, close to main transport and walking distance from the centre of Milan. – John from United Kingdom – 13 October 2025 (9/10)
Great location, staff very helpful, specially giving detailed instructions about how to get from the airport to the apartment, that saved a lot of stress and likely mistaken choices.
