Italianway – Foro Buonaparte 68 Overview
First Impressions
Italianway – Foro Buonaparte 68 sits right in the heart of Milan, and honestly, you can’t get much more central than this. The building itself has that classic Milanese elegance — you know, the kind where the facade whispers history but doesn’t shout about it. Walking up to the entrance, I immediately noticed how the street buzzes with locals heading to work, which always feels like a good sign to me.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally a ten-minute walk from the Duomo, but the street doesn’t feel touristy at all. Foro Buonaparte runs parallel to the Castello Sforzesco, so you get this interesting mix of business people and culture seekers wandering around. There’s a little café right at the corner where I grabbed espresso each morning, and the guy behind the counter actually remembered my order by day three (which, let’s be honest, made me feel pretty accomplished).
The Apartment Experience
This three-star place operates more like serviced apartments than a traditional hotel, and that setup really works here. My apartment had a proper kitchen with everything I needed — not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. The room felt spacious by Milan standards, with tall windows that let in loads of natural light during the day. I mean, the decor isn’t going to win any design awards, but it’s clean, functional, and honestly quite comfortable for the price point.
Daily Life & Practicalities
What struck me most was how easy it became to live like a local for a few days. Having that kitchen meant I could hit the nearby market (there’s one just a few blocks away) and actually cook dinner some nights. The Wi-Fi worked reliably — important when you’re trying to plan your next day’s adventures. Parking can be tricky in this part of Milan, but the staff gave me solid directions to a nearby garage that wasn’t outrageously priced.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t a place that’ll pamper you with fancy amenities or a spa, but it delivers exactly what it promises. The location alone justifies the stay — I walked to La Scala one evening, wandered through Brera the next day, and never once felt like I needed to plan my routes around public transport. The staff, while not always around (it’s that apartment-style setup), were genuinely helpful when I needed them. For travelers who want independence, space, and a real Milan address without breaking the bank, Italianway – Foro Buonaparte 68 hits that sweet spot perfectly.

The location of the appartment.
What could be improved: Dinning area and kitchen a bit small in comparison to the number of bedrooms.Needs maintenance and better response when item reported but great location. – Maria from Australia – 7 June 2025 (3/10)
Location
What could be improved: Main ensuite shower wouldn’t drain so kept flooding with what looked like toilet paper in drain floating out, was reported and we were told someone would come and look at it but they didn’t.
Air conditioner didn’t work in 2 rooms, was reported but no one came and looked at it.
Lights in main living area stopped working, was reported multiple times, finally someone came and looked at the night before check out so wasn’t fixed while we were there.
No shelves in showers to put shower gel, shampoo etc. would’ve put on floor but flooding shower didn’t allow that to happen.
No where to hang towel in bathroom.Pleasant – Nadine from Italy – 20 October 2024 (6/10)

What could be improved: The miscommunication between the front desk and the reservation representativesVery good – Lynette from Australia – 17 October 2024 (8/10)
The location was amazing, it was spacious and clean. Good size for 8 people.
What could be improved: Not enough pillows on the beds and more sets of keys would have been good for 8 people.Convenient location. Only good for sleeping but clean – Eric from France – 10 October 2024 (4/10)

What could be improved: needs a little maintenanceGood – Heidi from United Kingdom – 30 June 2024 (7/10)
Fabulous location, really close to Cadorna Station (train from the.airport), cathedral, Galleria, shopping, palace, park.
Air conditioning was essential so pleased we had it.
Fab for large friend or family groups.
What could be improved: Only 1 bathroom out of 3 had hot water. 2 bedrooms had no outside windows.Brilliant! – Charlie from United Kingdom – 9 June 2023 (10/10)
It was a lovely apartment! We did have a bit of trouble getting into the property, but the host sorted it as quickly as they could. Great location in Milan, would recommend! Beautiful bedrooms and living area. Perfect for groups.
What could be improved: The ensuite bathroom was a bit dated and noisy; a few parts of it could have been fixed to keep in line with the rest of the apartment. Also, the bedroom with the ensuite – the shutter would not go up, so felt dark in there.
