You’re genuinely in a real Milanese neighborhood here — there’s a fantastic bakery two blocks down that opens at 6:30 AM, and the evening aperitivo crowd at the corner bar includes more residents than visitors. The metro station is a seven-minute walk, so getting to the Duomo or Navigli is actually easier than from some of the more “central” places I’ve stayed.

Living Like a Local

Each room comes with a proper kitchenette, and I mean proper — not just a mini-fridge and coffee maker situation. You can actually cook here, which is brilliant because the local market on Via Pascoli has incredible produce and those San Daniele prosciutto vendors who’ll slice everything perfectly for you. The space feels thoughtfully designed rather than just furnished, with enough storage that you’re not living out of a suitcase for your entire stay.

What Actually Matters

The four-star rating reflects the attention to details that matter when you’re settling in for more than a night or two. The Wi-Fi is genuinely fast (I worked from here without issues), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and the shower pressure is what you’d hope for after walking around Milan all day. There’s also parking available, which anyone who’s driven in Milan knows is basically worth its weight in gold.

  – The bed linens were clean.

  – Noise travels easily between rooms, and bathroom doors make loud sounds when opened.
  – No floor drying rack was provided, making it impossible to dry clothes.
  – The apartment lacked heating, despite the listing mentioning an automatic heater.
  – Insufficient toiletries: only two small bottles of shampoo and two of liquid soap were provided for four people over four nights.

  – The floor was not properly cleaned — our daughter’s socks turned black from walking around.
