Keys of Italy – Melloni 4 / Mustard ReVolution Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Keys of Italy – Melloni 4 / Mustard ReVolution, I’ll be honest — the name is a bit of a mouthful, but don’t let that throw you off. This four-star property sits on a quiet residential street in the Porta Vittoria area, and there’s something refreshingly authentic about the whole setup. You’re not getting the typical corporate hotel experience here, which is exactly what makes it interesting.
Location & Neighborhood
The location is honestly fantastic — I mean, there’s a reason couples are rating it 9.1 out of 10. You’re in Milan but away from the tourist chaos, tucked into a neighborhood that feels genuinely local. Via Macedonio Melloni is one of those streets where you’ll see actual Milanese people going about their daily lives, not just visitors with cameras. The Porta Vittoria district has this great mix of residential charm and urban energy, and you can easily walk to the city center or hop on public transport when you want to explore further.
The Space
What you’re getting here is essentially a stylish apartment setup rather than a traditional hotel room. The “Mustard ReVolution” part of the name starts to make sense when you see the bold, contemporary design choices — think warm yellows and modern Italian flair. Each unit has its own kitchen, which is actually pretty well-equipped if you want to grab groceries from the local markets and cook something up. The spaces feel more like staying in a friend’s really well-designed place than a sterile hotel room.
Daily Life Here
Mornings are particularly nice because you can either make your own coffee (and trust me, having good coffee gear in Milan is essential) or walk a couple blocks to find some excellent local cafés. The neighborhood has this relaxed pace that I really appreciated — you know how some areas of Milan can feel rushed and intense? This isn’t one of them. There’s a small park nearby where locals walk their dogs, and the whole area has that lived-in quality that makes you feel less like a tourist.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.1 rating really reflects what this place does well — it gives you independence and space while keeping you connected to authentic Milan life. Couples especially seem to love having their own little Milan base where they can spread out, cook together, and actually live in the city for a few days rather than just visiting it. The parking situation is also better than most central Milan options, which anyone who’s driven in this city will tell you is no small thing. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it nails that sweet spot of comfort, location, and genuine local character that makes a trip memorable.
Early hotels booking in Milan secures opera tickets, rooftop bar nights, and private Italian cooking class sessions.

Reviews of Keys of Italy – Melloni 4 / Mustard ReVolution
Very good – Elvira from Italy – 24 November 2025 (8/10)
What could be improved: all'arrivo non abbiamo trovato la bottiglia d'acqua che solitamente viene messa a disposizione
Very good – Dragos from Romania – 28 September 2025 (8/10)
Nice small apartment, good location, quite well equipped, very well conected with the metro, tram and bus. A nice grocery store is situated within walking distance. Very nice restaurants and bakeries near by in case you need them.
What could be improved: I was disappointed by the lack of understanding when I requested an early check-in. Even though my wife was pregnant and very tired from traveling, our request was not approved without flexibility. While I understand that policies exist, a little empathy in such situations would have made a big difference to our experience.Good place, good location. Clear instructions. – Natalia from Austria – 10 June 2025 (9/10)
Very nice place in good location.
What could be improved: No big mirror and this was a big problem for me . I would add a standing fan, because some people avoid AC.Exceptional – Anonymous from Malta – 3 June 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: ——Superb – Hulub from Romania – 11 July 2024 (9/10)
The apartment is nice and comfy and most important the space was clean.
The instructions were clear and we didn't have any problems with the check in.
The communication with the host was easy.
What could be improved: Something to cover the windows that would still allow the light to enter would be nice.
The big downside for us was the noise from other apartments, some people talked until 4 in the morning and we couldn't sleep. We liked Milano a lot! – Georgia from Romania – 13 March 2024 (9/10)
Nice studio, we liked it a lot. Also it is in a very good neighborhood. Lots of cafes and restaurants around. The tram was at 50 m and also a nice supermarket.
The proximity to the city center was 20 minutes walking, but alert style.
What could be improved: You can hear the noise between the apartments. That was inconvenient.
