Kibilù – Via Thaon de Revel Overview
First Impressions
Kibilù – Via Thaon de Revel sits on a quiet residential street in Milan’s Bicocca-Zara district, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. This three-star hotel doesn’t try to be something it’s not — instead, it focuses on being a solid, comfortable base for exploring Milan. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance you find in neighborhoods where locals actually live, rather than the touristy center.
Location & Getting Around
You know what I really appreciated? The area feels authentically Milanese without the crowds. Bicocca has this interesting mix of residential calm and urban energy — you’ve got the Bicocca village nearby with its shops and cafes, plus easy metro connections that’ll get you to the Duomo in about 20 minutes. The yellow line (M3) at Zara station is practically around the corner, which makes day trips into central Milan completely doable.
The Room Experience
My room was compact but thoughtfully designed — nothing fancy, but everything worked properly. The bed was comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep, and the air conditioning actually cooled the space (not always a given in Milan’s summers, trust me). What I liked most was the attention to practical details: decent Wi-Fi, enough power outlets, and a bathroom that felt clean and modern without being sterile.
Neighborhood Dining
While the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, the surrounding area more than makes up for it. There’s this fantastic little trattoria about two blocks away that serves proper Milanese risotto — the kind locals queue for on Sunday evenings. I mean, you’re not staying here for room service anyway; you want to experience real Milan dining, and this neighborhood delivers that authentically.
Why Guests Love It
The real appeal of Kibilù lies in its balance of practicality and local flavor. Staff members are genuinely helpful without being overly formal, and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that caters to both business travelers and tourists without losing its personality. The parking situation is manageable if you’re driving — not always easy to find in Milan — and the rates remain reasonable even during fashion week (which, honestly, is when you really appreciate a good value). It’s the kind of place you’d recommend to friends who want to experience Milan like a temporary resident rather than a passing tourist.

Excellent location. Quiet neighborhood.
What could be improved: Very unconfortbale bed on main room. Flat a bit dirty but this was a minor issueI will definitely come back! Perfect for enjoying The Blue Note, quality nightlife and everything – Alexandru from Romania – 3 February 2025 (10/10)
Great location, close to everything that we needed. Cozy, comfortable apartment with great room temperature, very nice bedding and a pristine bathroom.
What could be improved: Nothing to not like, everything was above expectations.Okay – Keita from Latvia – 24 July 2024 (8/10)
Amazing location, metro and bus stations nearby. There are shops and cafes around, you can easily walk to Bosco verticale.
What could be improved: 2 toilet paper rolls for 5 people for two days is not enough at all. We had to buy toilet paper ourselves. The dishes were clean but the kitchen itself wasn’t fully clean. Also it would have been better if the kitchen had some salt or pepper.Good – Jelena from Serbia – 15 July 2024 (7/10)
Location is really good
What could be improved: The cleanliness of the apartment could be much better; the sheets and pillowcases did not seem clean.Very good – Frederik from Slovakia – 12 May 2024 (8/10)
The location is perfect and also communication with the personnel.
What could be improved: We do not feel very comfy, as the place/things im the place are not organized and bit messy.Exceptional – Helen from Malaysia – 8 April 2024 (10/10)
Very convenient and easy to access our requirements.
Near to metro station, restaurants & barGreat location plenty of places to eat and drink plus shops for getting groceries etc to make the appointment fee like h – Gareth from United Kingdom – 9 November 2023 (10/10)
Great location
We enjoyed our stay. – Stephanus from South Africa – 30 April 2023 (7/10)
The location was great.
What could be improved: The lift works with a key which you obtain only after being given telephonic / app access to the apartment. Having to carry bags up 4 flights was difficult, but in retrospect, we could have left our baggage downstairs and moved it up with the lift subsequent to the (intricate) access process. An extra ice tray would have been handy.Fabulous Apartment – Flatley from United Kingdom – 8 April 2023 (10/10)
The apartment was lovely, it was a cool time of year we visited but the heating in the apartment kept it very nice. The apartment was on the 4th floor but there was a small lift we could use was very useful. It also had great fast WiFi in the apartments. veery close to shops and restaurants.
What could be improved: nothing.
