First Impressions

When I first walked into Magenta 45 Fashion and Movida in the heart of downtown, I knew this wasn’t going to be your typical four-star business hotel. The lobby has this trendy, almost boutique vibe that immediately sets the tone — think modern Italian design with pops of magenta (obviously) and sleek furniture that looks like it belongs in a design magazine. You can tell they’re really leaning into that “fashion” part of their name.

Location & Neighborhood

The location on Corso Magenta is honestly pretty brilliant if you want to be in central Milan without dealing with the absolute chaos around the Duomo. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to all the main sights, but this area has more of a residential feel with actual Milanese people going about their daily lives. There’s a great little restaurant right across the street that locals frequent, and the metro station is just a few minutes away when you need to hop over to the fashion district.

The Room Experience

My room was compact but thoughtfully designed — which is pretty much what you’d expect in Milan’s city center. The bed was comfortable enough, and I appreciated the blackout curtains since the street can get a bit noisy in the evenings. The bathroom was modern and clean, though honestly nothing spectacular. What I did like was the attention to detail in the furnishings; everything felt coordinated and intentional rather than just thrown together.

Atmosphere & Vibe

Here’s where this place really shines — the whole “movida” concept actually works. The common areas buzz with energy, especially in the evenings when guests and locals seem to mingle naturally. It’s not trying too hard to be cool, but there’s definitely a social atmosphere that sets it apart from stuffier hotels in the area. The staff seems to get the vibe too; they’re friendly and helpful without being overly formal.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t the fanciest hotel in Milan, and the 7.7 rating reflects that — it’s good, not great. But what it does well is create an experience that feels authentically Milanese rather than generic international hotel. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to feel connected to the city’s energy and doesn’t need marble bathrooms or concierge service, this place delivers. The neighborhood location means you’ll discover little cafes and shops that most tourists never see, and honestly, that’s worth more than thread count to me.

  O apartamento é bem maior do que representa nas fotos. Tem um quarto grande, uma sala grande com mesa de jantar, tem uma cozinha excelente com forno, micro-ondas, geladeira, freezer, mesa para tomar café da manhã e ainda um átrio na entrada do apartamento. O local possui tudo o que é necessário para cozinhar, caso o hóspede queira. Gostei muito do apartamento.

  Központi elhelyezkedés, közel a metró és a vonatállomás, a nevezetességek.
  Tiszta és gondozott környezet. Sok pipere dolgot készítettek be. Jól felszerelt konyha, nagy szekrények. Hamarabb el tudtuk foglalni az apartmant.

  The apartment was spacious, clean, and very well equipped. It had all the necessary appliances and amenities, with a fully functional kitchen – perfect even for a longer stay. The bathroom was neat and tidy, with fresh towels and bed linen provided. High ceilings and a beautiful, well-maintained building added to the charm. It was also pleasantly quiet despite its central location.
  
  The apartment is within walking distance of the city center, major attractions, grocery stores, metro station, and the main railway station connecting directly to the airport. There were two large rooms offering great comfort, and as a bonus, someone had left their Netflix account logged in – a nice surprise.
  
  What could be improved: The only downside was the water pressure and the hot water system. It took a very long time for hot water to reach the shower, and with small kids, cold showers were not an option. A workaround was to run the hot water in the nearby bidet for a few minutes, which seemed to draw warm water into the pipes. Even then, the shower pressure was quite low and made it difficult to properly wash long hair.

  The perfect location, underground, bus, and tram are very close, Milano Cadorna railway station is close too. It is about 10-15 minutes walk to the center. Tge facilities are also good, everything you need in a flat, you have here.
  
  What could be improved: There is no pressure in a shower, so you can't have proper hot water. There is hot water in the sink in the bathroom and kitchen, but you can forget about a hot shower. Also, the bed is not comfortable, at least for me.

  Struttura molto accogliente e pulita. Posizione comodissima per raggiungere la metro. L'appartamento offre tutto l'occorrente per cucinare e a poche centinaia di metri c'è un market. Nel quartiere ci sono diversi bar, pub e ristoranti. Perfetto per famiglia.
