I actually stumbled onto Via Pontaccio while wandering from the Duomo area, and it’s one of those streets that feels authentically Milanese rather than touristy. There’s a great coffee spot literally two doors down, and the tram stops are close enough that you can easily hop over to Navigli for dinner.

Here’s what’s clever about this place — each apartment feels like it belongs to someone with really good taste. The kitchen isn’t just for show; it’s actually equipped well enough that you could cook a proper meal if you wanted to. The bedroom setup varies depending on which unit you get, but I was impressed with how they’ve managed to make everything feel spacious despite being in the city center. The room I stayed in had these great blackout curtains — crucial when you’re dealing with Milan’s early summer sunrises. There’s no on-site restaurant, but that’s actually perfect for this neighborhood where you’re spoiled for dining choices. Parking can be arranged, though you really don’t need a car here.

  Location was great. Easy walk to the Duomo ( and many other sightseeing attractions) the metro and many restaurants and bars.

  Great central location, safe & secure, nearby restaurants, well equipped.
  
  What could be improved: Management of the property – a rental agreement was required for a 4 night stay. Key was not in lockbox on arrival, host contact was not friendly although access was arranged reasonably quickly. Limited natural light into the property & it is extremely small. Bathroom is tiny.

  The location was perfect, the apartment was nice, clean and comfortable and the kitchennette well equipped. It was everything we needed for our short stay.
  
  What could be improved: Some minor things in the apartment could do with a little upkeep. Bed was a little noisy, the overhead shower head dripped cold water when taking a shower and the shower door knob was broken.

  This cosy apartment was perfect for my needs. Comfortable bed. Equipped kitchen. Washing machine. Fridge was good. The air-conditioning was fantastic
  
  What could be improved: No instructions on operating dryer function of washing machine, the person on the assistance number had no idea either.
  None of the provided kitchen appliances plugs fitted the power points. Luckily I had an adapter with me so i could use the kettle, coffee machine and toaster.
  There were mosquitoes in the bedroom.

  They provided good information with step by step instructions and videos! It was pretty straight forward. Would maybe be good to show the outside of the property as we were a little confused.
  
  What could be improved: Communication could have been better, as I wasn’t entirely sure who I was speaking with throughout the process. On the first day, the hot water wasn’t working, which was quite inconvenient. The bathroom light flickered a lot, so I avoided using it. Cleanliness also left a bit to be desired, with some stains in the sink and on the countertops. There were quite a few scuffs on the walls, and overall, the place felt a little worn and in need of some care and attention. Would've also been good to have some water in the fridge.

  Good location. Private and quiet. Perfect for a short trip with small luggage.
  
  What could be improved: Lift was very small for 2 people + large luggage. The light from the passage could not be turned off and shone through to the bedroom all night disturbing sleep. The apartment is fairly small for large luggage.

  You wake up to birds singing. Beautiful top floor. Even the flat is in a central location, it is very quiet, in a residence hall. Suitable for longer stays with plenty off appliances.

  Fantastic location. It’s compact but perfectly adequate and comfortable for a few nights exploring Milan and in particular enjoying everything the Brera district has to offer. Provided all the basics you need and is super quiet on top floor.
  
  What could be improved: A way to turn off or block the stairway light at night would be beneficial.
