PrimoPiano – Carcano Overview
First Impressions
PrimoPiano – Carcano sits on a quiet residential street that feels worlds away from the tourist chaos, even though you’re still very much in Milan. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance — not flashy, but you can tell there’s quality here. I mean, the name literally translates to “first floor,” which gives you a hint about the intimate scale we’re talking about.
The Neighborhood Feel
Famagosta isn’t where most tourists end up, and honestly, that’s part of the charm. You’re in a real Milanese neighborhood where people actually live and work. The green line metro stop is practically around the corner, so getting to the Duomo or Navigli takes maybe fifteen minutes. But here’s what I really appreciated — there are actual neighborhood cafes and family-run shops within walking distance, not just tourist traps.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in felt more like a well-designed apartment than a typical hotel setup. Everything’s been thoughtfully updated — modern fixtures, quality linens, and honestly, better lighting than most places manage to get right. The kitchen area was compact but functional, with everything you’d actually need if you wanted to grab groceries from the local market and make breakfast yourself.
Getting Around and Practicalities
What really sold me was how easy everything felt once I settled in. There’s parking available, which — if you’ve ever tried to park in Milan — you’ll know is basically gold. The staff speaks English well enough, but they’re not overly formal about it. You know what I found refreshing? They actually gave me useful local recommendations instead of just pointing me toward the obvious tourist spots.
Why Guests Love It
This four-star property works because it gets the balance right — comfortable and well-appointed without trying to be something it’s not. The area gives you a genuine taste of how Milanese people actually live, while still keeping you connected to everything you came to see. It’s the kind of place where you can imagine staying for a week and developing your own little routine, rather than just passing through.

Reviews of PrimoPiano – Carcano
Great cold place with no elevator on the 4th floor – Vagan from Russia – 30 October 2025 (10/10)
Almost everything great:working washing machine, got every utensil u need, good noise defence system. Big apartment in general
What could be improved: It was cold there, and the administrator declined my request to tell me where are the remotes for AC (I wanted the heat mode). Because laws in Italy restrict heating up on your own terms, it's fully centralised.
Also, no elevator, 4 floors to climb. Good for health, but exhausting sometimes.Very good – Ditsanush from Poland – 2 August 2025 (8/10)
We enjoyed our stay at the Primo Piano Carcano apartment. It was clean and cosy.
Superb – Mihaela from Moldova – 21 July 2025 (9/10)
Very comfortable and clean.
What could be improved: A new block of flats is being built next door. It was noisy in the morning, from 7.00 am, but it’s a good time to wake up and go walk 😃Exceptional – Gor from Armenia – 30 May 2025 (10/10)
Milan was awesome
What could be improved: There was a little problem with night check in, but its okif you do not mind climbing to the 5 th floor without lift , then this is good . – Alim from Qatar – 11 April 2025 (6/10)
location was good , the tram number 3 takes you everywhere and its just 2 mins waliking
What could be improved: We Hated the 5th floor without lift, and that is what made us despair, especially if you have luggage.Very good – Ben from Austria – 28 January 2025 (8/10)
Size of the apartment
Tram connection to city center
What could be improved: Apartment building is quite old and run down, apartment itself has some signs of usage (chipped paint)Good for short stay – Wael from Egypt – 9 January 2025 (8/10)
Clean and cozy, close to supermarkets and to the tram station
What could be improved: It is about 20 min by tram to the center since there is nothing to do around the place
The check in process is completely online and you have to insert all details and copies of the passports online where it could have been done much easier through a WhatsApp chatVery relaxing accommodation in deal location – Helen from United Kingdom – 1 January 2025 (10/10)
Excellent condition with everything we needed for a comfortable stay
What could be improved: NothingThe property has a good location. You can use tram to get to the center. It was very quiet and clean, very stylish and n – Salome from Georgia – 15 December 2024 (8/10)
The property has a good location. You can use tram to get to the center. It was very quiet and clean, very stylish and new.
What could be improved: The sofa bed was broken. My friends could not sleep well there and it was very uncomfortable for them. I advise the host to change the sofa bed or change the option.Exceptional – Mariana from United States – 26 October 2024 (10/10)
Property was very clean.
What could be improved: Pull out bed was a little rough. It was far from central Milan but close to public transportation
