PrimoPiano – Guerrazzi Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to PrimoPiano – Guerrazzi, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — it’s tucked into a residential street in the Sempione district, away from the tourist crowds. The entrance feels more like stepping into someone’s elegant apartment building than a hotel, which honestly is part of its charm. This four-star property sits quietly on Via Francesco Domenico Guerrazzi, and once you’re inside, you realize that’s exactly the point.
The Sempione Advantage
You know what I love about this location? You’re actually living like a Milanese person for a few days. Sempione isn’t where the tour groups end up, but it’s perfectly positioned between Parco Sempione and the city center. I mean, you can walk to the Castello Sforzesco in about ten minutes, but you’re also surrounded by genuine neighborhood cafes and local spots. The Porta Garibaldi area is close enough for evening drinks, and honestly, the whole vibe feels more authentic than staying right in the Duomo area.
Inside Your Space
The room I stayed in felt like a modern Milanese apartment — clean lines, good lighting, and that understated Italian style that doesn’t try too hard. Each unit comes with a proper kitchen, which is brilliant if you want to grab ingredients from the local markets and actually cook something. The space feels generous, not cramped like some city hotels, and the bathroom was well-designed with decent water pressure (always a concern in older European buildings).
Neighborhood Life
What really struck me was how the area comes alive in the evenings. There’s this little restaurant around the corner that locals frequent — the kind of place where you hear more Italian than English, which is always a good sign. The morning routine here is perfect too; you can walk to a proper Italian bar for your cornetto and cappuccino, then stroll through the park before the day gets busy. It’s that balance between feeling like you’re in Milan without being overwhelmed by it.
Why Guests Love It
Look, PrimoPiano – Guerrazzi isn’t trying to impress you with flashy amenities or over-the-top service. What it offers is something more valuable — the chance to experience Milan from a local perspective while still having all the comforts you need. The kitchenette means you’re not tied to hotel dining schedules, the location gives you breathing room from the tourist intensity, and the whole setup just feels more genuine. If you want to stay somewhere that feels like discovering a hidden corner of the city rather than being processed through another hotel experience, this place gets it right.
Early hotels booking in Milan secures opera tickets, rooftop bar nights, and private Italian cooking class sessions.

Reviews of PrimoPiano – Guerrazzi
Pretty apartment, well appointed in a great location which was quiet and relaxing. – Donna from United Kingdom – 5 August 2025 (8/10)
The property is very spacious, beds are comfortable and it’s in a quiet and pretty location in the city but not far from all the main sites, with a lovely walk through the park. The property has plenty of amenities to be able to stay in and cook. We found check in and instructions to locate the property easy with the owners keeping us updated and easy to communicate with.
What could be improved: A very small point, but despite having very quick showers by the time the third person was showering it was quite cold, not sure if this was because it was early and others in the building would also be showering at the same time. The size and water pressure in the shower was excellent though.Good price – Miria from Poland – 30 December 2024 (7/10)
Very cozy place to stay

Nice location. It was quite clean and comfortable except the bed’s noise when you turned over in your sleep. Overall 8 points out of 10.
What could be improved: There was an electric kettle but wasn’t any tea or anything that you can prepare for morning drinking..Good – Stamos from Greece – 6 June 2024 (7/10)

great location. 20 minutes walk from the station and about 10 minutes to the front (downhill)

Lovely apartment with everything you could need for a few days stay. Close to the park and only about 25 mins walk to the Duomo through the park. Lovely safe area with loads of restaurants within walking distance.
What could be improved: The heating timer seems to be a bit off, as we were roasting hot during the night but a bit chilly in the evening. Maybe the time clock needs looking at to make sure it is set properly. Not a big deal though, just a note.Superb – Mike from Greece – 7 October 2023 (9/10)
Very nice house. Comfortable beds.
What could be improved: There was a sour smell indeed (because of the cleaning process propably) and the towels could have been a little newer(without stains). Everything else was perfect tho8/10 – 02 from Netherlands – 21 August 2023 (8/10)
Clean
What could be improved: No windblower, no dishwasher, bed upstairs was noisy.Superb – Joakim from Norway – 16 July 2023 (9/10)
Big space, well equipped kitchen, stylish furniture. Nice neighborhood a short walk from the city center. Check in was easy. Would definitely stay here again!
What could be improved: Could have been cleaner. Some facilities didn't work properly.Nice apartment with everything you need ! – Barbara from France – 10 June 2023 (8/10)
The apartment is nice, located next to a big parc, à 30 minutes walk away from the duomo, crossing the beautiful park.
What could be improved: The bed was quite uncomfortable, very squeaky at every move. The check in procedure was simple but we had to pay through PayPal which isn’t very practical.
