There’s a fantastic bakery just two blocks down that opens at 6 AM (the cornetti are incredible), and the neighborhood has this lived-in quality where you’ll see the same faces at the local bar every morning.

The Space

The room I stayed in felt more like an apartment than a hotel space, complete with a small kitchenette that’s actually functional — not just decorative like some places. The furnishings are simple but thoughtful, and you can tell someone put effort into making the space feel homey rather than sterile. The Wi-Fi works well (tested it extensively while working), and the shower has proper water pressure, which honestly matters more than fancy toiletries when you’re dealing with Milan’s summer heat.

Practical Details

There’s no on-site restaurant, but given that kitchenette and the neighborhood’s food scene, you really don’t need one. Parking can be tricky since it’s street parking only, but if you’re planning to use Milan’s excellent public transport, that’s not really an issue. The staff is minimal but responsive — they’re not hovering around a lobby, but they answer messages quickly and know the area well enough to give you solid recommendations.

  What could be improved: We couldn't take a bath because the water was boiling hot. Generally it was great.

  The location was great, right next to a metro stop and a supermarket. Excellent connection to the city's attractions and the central train station. The house seemed safe, with a locked gate and front door.
  The apartment was well equipped – hairdryer, iron, etc. Everything you need for cooking in the kitchen.
  
  What could be improved: Never managed to wash myself in the shower with really warm water. If the water was warm at first, it ran out in the middle of showering. Maybe if I stayed longer I could have found a better time to wash. It wasn't that bad – I would stay in the same apartment again.

  Metro was few meters away. The supermarket also. The price was not to high. Kitchen ammenities were in working condition. So in all it is good for short budget stay.
  
  What could be improved: The matress was very bad on one half of the bed. There is no air conditioning, only a noisy fan, which is uncomfortable during summer. Bathroom is older and smells of mold.

  The location of the apartment and the security of it was perfect, only being a minute walk away from the Affori centro station which linked up to all the main stops in Milan. Very clean and comfortable apartment. Supermarket right across the road and plenty of minimarkets close by too for any essentials. Would recommend this apartment to friends that are wanting to visit Milan.
  
  What could be improved: The only real downside to this apartment would be the shower, it's very small and quite difficult to get the correct temperature on it. We only saw one staff member on our 4 day trip however we felt very safe and secure and we were given clear instructions from the letter on our arrival on how to get into the building,parking,ect.

  Private parking was great. There is a big Superstore across the street, gas station around the corner and lots of nice places to eat in the area.
  The apartment is cozy and had everything I needed.
  
  What could be improved: It was not very easy to get in the apartment to collect the keys. The frontdoor didn't go open and when there is no one at the reception you have no choice but to wait till someone opens the door or you have to figure something else out.
