Primopiano – Savona C Overview
First Impressions
Primopiano – Savona C sits right in the heart of the Navigli district, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. When I first walked up to this three-star property on Via Savona, I wasn’t expecting much from the street view — but you know what they say about judging books by their covers. The building has that classic Milanese charm, and once you’re inside, it feels much more polished than you’d anticipate from the exterior.
The Navigli Advantage
You’re literally steps away from the canal-side aperitivo scene that makes this neighborhood so special. I mean, Milan‘s Navigli area is where locals actually hang out — not just tourists taking Instagram photos. The evening buzz starts around 6 PM when people spill out onto the canal walkways with their spritzes, and you can join them or just watch the whole scene unfold from nearby. Plus, there’s a decent restaurant scene within walking distance, though honestly, the best spots are the smaller osterie tucked into the side streets.
The Room Experience
My room was surprisingly spacious for Milan standards — and trust me, that’s saying something in a city where hotel rooms can feel like closets. The decor is modern without trying too hard, and the bed was actually comfortable (I’m pretty picky about mattresses). What I appreciated most was how quiet it stayed despite being in such a lively area. The windows do a good job of blocking out the street noise, which can get pretty animated on weekend nights.
Practical Matters
The staff here gets it — they understand that travelers need real help, not just polite smiles. When I needed directions to a specific vintage shop in Brera, the front desk person actually drew me a little map and marked the best gelato stop along the way. There’s no fancy spa or elaborate amenities, but there is parking available if you’re brave enough to drive in Milan (though honestly, you probably don’t need a car here). The WiFi works well throughout the building, and the shower pressure is solid — sometimes it’s the simple things that matter most.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the most Instagram-worthy hotel you’ve ever stayed in, but it delivers on what actually matters for a Milan visit. You’re in one of the city’s most authentic neighborhoods, the price point makes sense for what you get, and you can walk to the Darsena area in about five minutes. The combination of a genuinely local location with reliable basics makes it work well for travelers who want to experience Milan rather than just see it. After staying here, I actually understood why this area has become so popular with young Milanese — it has that perfect mix of historic charm and contemporary energy that’s getting harder to find in European cities.

What could be improved: The heating was low in days when we feel coldExceptional – Cristianc24 from Moldova – 31 August 2025 (10/10)
Good location, a 25 min walk from Duomo di Milano. Spacious, clean and cosy apartment with a free parking lot included. Highly recommend!
What could be improved: The doors to the rooms and bathrooms were not closing properly.Very good – Lasse from Denmark – 27 August 2025 (8/10)
Location and size of the place
What could be improved: Could get new furniture on balcony and a more well stocked kitchenOne night stay – Anna from Poland – 27 August 2025 (6/10)
The apartment is very big and well equipped and niecely furnished. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has good aircon. There is a parking space.
What could be improved: Although there is aircon the apartment is very hot. Only one bedroom cools down. It is on the top floor and carring suitcases is very tiresome since there is no lift.Exceptional – Mykola from Ukraine – 23 August 2025 (10/10)
All right location very nice
Extra space – Sandra from Belgium – 3 August 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: Short stay for such a apartment 🙁Exceptional – Hugo from Australia – 3 July 2025 (10/10)
Extremely good value for money, was very spacious and had no problems with anything – superb.
Good – Martin from Austria – 5 March 2025 (7/10)
the location is great, also that there is a parking space included although not clearly indicated which space is the one you should use, a bit tight for a van. The apartment is spaceous, and generally well equipped, but a bit worn. Some refurbishments would eventually enhance the experience
What could be improved: I informed the apartment manager via booking.com messenger on the previous day that the time of arrival is 2 pm instead of 8 pm as originally selected. Unfortunatelly this info didn't reach the cleaning team, the apartment was dirty and messy on our arrival from previous guests (must have been real pigs…)Nice flat that could be super if it is fixed up a little bit. – Tom from Finland – 28 February 2025 (7/10)
Nice location, quiet and close to the metro and shops. Also easy to find dinner places. Big area.
What could be improved: The sewage smell. And door hinges in the kitchen was not properly working. The second bed was not comfy.Good valve for the money – Ping from Canada – 20 December 2024 (10/10)
Two washroom, clean, well kept, big enough for four people
What could be improved: At the high floor, need to walk up the stairs ,one of the bed room only got a sofa bed,and it is too soft
