San Vittore- One Bedroom by Halldis Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to San Vittore- One Bedroom by Halldis on Via San Vittore, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another Milanese apartment building. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are hiding in plain sight. This apartment sits right in the heart of Milan City Centre, and while it’s part of the Halldis collection — which manages several properties around the city — it feels refreshingly personal rather than corporate.
The Space
The four-star rating makes perfect sense once you step inside. The one-bedroom setup is smartly designed, with enough space that you don’t feel cramped but cozy enough that it actually feels like a home. The kitchen is what really sold me though — it’s properly equipped, not just some token mini-fridge situation. I mean, when you’re in a city known for incredible markets like Mercato di Porta Romana just a few stops away, having a real place to cook matters.
Location & Getting Around
Via San Vittore is one of those streets that locals know but tourists often miss, which works in your favor. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Sant’Ambrogio — one of Milan’s most important basilicas — and about ten minutes from the Navigli district. The thing is, you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the tourist crowds that you can actually breathe.
What Works Well
The 8.2 rating reflects what I experienced — it’s solid without being flashy. The apartment management is professional (Halldis knows what they’re doing), and the building itself is quiet, which honestly surprised me given how central the location is. There’s decent natural light, and the WiFi actually works properly — something that can’t always be taken for granted in older Milan buildings.
Why Guests Love It
Here’s the thing about staying in an apartment versus a traditional hotel — you get to live like you actually belong in the neighborhood. The local bars on Via San Vittore serve proper espresso, not tourist coffee, and there’s a small alimentari around the corner where you can grab essentials. It’s that balance of having your own space while being genuinely embedded in Milan life that makes places like this work so well for travelers who want more than just a room to sleep in.
Exploring Milan blends Renaissance art heritage, UNESCO landmarks, and vibrant neighborhoods glowing with golden-hour lights.

Comfortable, perfect location. – Anonymous from United Kingdom – 30 September 2025 (8/10)
Perfect Location, very central and great transport connections.
Comfortable beds and enough space for two people.
What could be improved: When we arrived there were dirty bed sheets which we needed for the second bed, so unfortunately we had to go out and purchase some.
The washing machine wasn’t suitable, as where it was being stored you couldn’t open the compartment to put softer detergent/powder which meant our clothes wasn’t cleaned properly.Superb – Amalia from Italy – 12 July 2025 (9/10)

Superb – Mario from Italy – 5 December 2023 (9/10)
