Walking into Suite Lotus Senna, you immediately get that boutique hotel feeling — it’s intimate without being cramped, modern without trying too hard. The lobby has this clean, minimalist vibe that somehow manages to feel warm rather than sterile. Here’s what I love about the location on Via Calatafimi — you’re genuinely in Milan proper, not stuck in some tourist bubble. It’s a four-star spot that sits right in the city center, which means you can actually walk to most places you’d want to see. The Duomo is maybe a 15-minute stroll, and honestly, that’s perfect because you avoid the chaos right around the cathedral but you’re still close enough to pop over whenever you want.

The Accommodations

The suites — because that’s what they are, proper suites — give you space to actually spread out and live a little. Each room has a separate sitting area, which sounds basic but you know what, it makes such a difference when you’re staying more than a night or two. The kitchenette setup is surprisingly functional too; I’ve seen plenty of hotel kitchens that are just for show, but this one actually works if you want to grab groceries from the local markets and make coffee the way you like it.

Thoughtful Amenities

What strikes me about this place is how they handle the details — the Wi-Fi actually works everywhere (not always a given in older Milan buildings), and they’ve got parking available, which is honestly a miracle in this part of the city. The staff seems to know the neighborhood well too, so when you ask for recommendations, you get real suggestions rather than the usual tourist traps. There’s no full restaurant on-site, but given how many incredible places to eat are within walking distance, that’s hardly a problem.

This isn’t one of those hotels where you feel like you’re just passing through — the suite setup and the neighborhood location make it feel more like you’re actually staying in Milan rather than just visiting it.   Spacious suite, the metal shutters kept it nice and cool and dark until we were ready to put them up. Washing machine worked great too!

  The apartment was so clean and communication before and during our stay was excellent. Accessibility was great and very important as we travelled with in laws in their 70’s.
  
  What could be improved: I make these comments only to improve the experience but without them it was still great. To improve another comfy seating option would be great as the sofa was not able to support us all. Also for ease to have the keys colour marked to indicate what one was for what door would have made it easier for us.

  Very big apartment. Well located, clean and quiet. Nice kitchen, living room and two bedrooms. The apartment has been renovated recently.

  Host met us in front of the apartment on time (he adapted to meet us before checkin), and showed us the house. He was very friendly and answered questions about the apartment during our stay. The apartment was clean, spacious and great location. It has two rooms, two bathrooms, which was great for us.
