Sunny House caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know what I love about this place? It doesn’t try to be something it’s not — this three-star spot in the Fiera Milano district actually embraces its neighborhood vibe instead of pretending to be downtown fancy. The building sits quietly on Via Guido D’Arezzo, and honestly, I walked past it twice before realizing this was my hotel.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about staying near Fiera Milano — you’re in Milan‘s business district, which means it’s pretty quiet after work hours, but that’s not necessarily bad. I mean, you get actual sleep here, which is more than I can say for hotels near the Duomo. The City Life area has been totally transformed over the past decade, and you’ll see these sleek skyscrapers mixed with residential blocks. Metro connections are solid (Amendola-Fiera station is your friend), and you can reach the historic center in about 20 minutes.

The Room Experience

My room was… well, functional but surprisingly cheerful. The sunny name actually makes sense — large windows let in tons of natural light, which really brightened up the space. The furnishings are modern without being trendy, if that makes sense, and everything worked properly (always a plus). I appreciated having a decent-sized desk area, especially since this part of town attracts business travelers who actually need workspace.

Practical Touches

The staff here gets it — they understand that guests want straightforward service without unnecessary fuss. Parking is available, which is honestly a relief in Milan, and they helped me figure out the best routes to avoid the city’s traffic zones. Breakfast was simple but fresh, served in a bright little dining area that feels more like someone’s home than a hotel restaurant. Nothing elaborate, just good coffee and pastries that’ll get your day started.

Why Guests Keep Coming Back

Look, Sunny House isn’t going to wow you with marble lobbies or rooftop pools. What it does is provide a comfortable base in a part of Milan that’s actually livable — tree-lined streets, local cafés where you can practice your Italian, and real neighborhood energy. The 7.5 rating feels about right; it’s a place that delivers exactly what it promises without any surprises, good or bad. If you’re here for business or just want to experience Milan beyond the tourist crowds, this spot works really well.

  We stayed less than 24 hours, overnight, at this place. our return flight was from Milan hence we had to get here to catch the plane next day. The location seems to be in an upscale residential area. Property is in a building with many apartments and only 20 minutes by taxi from Milan Central Rail Station, 15 minutes walking from Cadorna train station. Duomo is 30 minutes' walk from the apartment. After checking into the appt, we walked to Fontana di Piazza Castello and then to Duomo and Galleria. Had nice dinner at Flower Burger 15 minutes from Duomo. Will definitely be coming back to Milan for a longer stay. Checking into the appt was smooth with the owner interacting via Whats App. Instructions were clear. Checking out was equally easy. Bathroom was big, clean. There is a coffee shop right next to the property.
  
  What could be improved: For longer stay at this apartment, people will be looking for more utensils, I think. We did not see a microwave. Building was oddly very quiet (but nothing of concern).

  It is a cosy and comfortable apartment, in a good location, close to one of the train stations, you can walk to the Duomo. Close to a supermarket. There was no microwave, but a bonus coffee machine with capsules.
