The four-star rating makes perfect sense when you factor in this location — it’s like having a local friend who knows exactly where to put you.

The apartment setup is what really sets this place apart from your typical hotel experience. You get a proper kitchenette that’s actually functional (I’ve seen plenty that are just for show), which means you can grab fresh ingredients from the morning market near Porta Genova and cook like you live here. The space feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in tourist accommodation. Each room has been designed with that Milan minimalist aesthetic — clean lines, good lighting, and windows that actually open so you can hear the city waking up.

What struck me most was how connected you feel to the real Milan from here. The Porta Genova station is basically around the corner, so you can hop on the metro and be at the Duomo in maybe ten minutes, but honestly, I found myself walking everywhere. The Sant’Ambrogio basilica is a pleasant fifteen-minute stroll, and if you head the other way toward the canals, you’ll stumble across these little galleries and vintage shops that most tourists never find. There’s decent parking nearby if you’re driving, though I’d question why you’d want a car in this neighborhood.

  The location was amazing and somehow it was quiet despite being right on a busy street.
  
  What could be improved: The beds were uncomfortable and the shower is really cramped if you’re over average height – I know it’s an older property and you’re limited in what you can change but between the bed and the shower I came home with a sore back

  Location was amazing, we weren’t at the apartment much, so it was great. Loved that there was coffee provided. Owner was wonderful and organized!
  
  What could be improved: Beds need to be upgraded, they affected our quality of sleep. There are cushions under one of the single mattresses that move around when you flip over.

  The location was superb. All contact with the host was clear and simple. The apartment was clean and spacious We really enjoyed out stay here. Close to Metro and shopping. Duomo at walking distance
  
  What could be improved: Shower wasn't great but this was all. Warm water though, just not a lot of space to shower in.
  Recommend not bringing your car – there is no place to park outside and drop off is only possible with taxi- or you can take the Metro, the stop is only round the corner. (2 mins walk).

  What could be improved: The only thing we did not like is the shower tub. The way the tub and wall configured makes moving difficult. I hit my head on the wall while in the tub.

  Nice bedrooms, good air conditioning.
  Great breakfast place right down stairs.
  Owners left lots of good information about the place and the location.
  
  What could be improved: We loved this place AND the location is terrific. I did not rate it a 5 for a couple reasons:
  1. It is on the 4th floor and no elevator. We had large suitcases and are in our 70s.
  2. The bathtub/shower is VERY small due to the wall being slanted inward.
  3. Front door key was very hard to open and required quite a bit of jiggling.
