Urban & Stylish Loft – Via Farini Overview
First Impressions
Urban & Stylish Loft – Via Farini caught my attention the moment I walked up to the building on Via Carlo Farini. You know what struck me first? The industrial-chic facade that somehow feels perfectly at home in this rapidly evolving neighborhood. It’s not trying too hard to be trendy — it just is. This three-star property delivers that authentic loft experience without the pretentious attitude you sometimes get at places trying to be cooler than they are.
Location & Neighborhood
Being in Stazione Garibaldi – Porta Nuova puts you right in the thick of Milan’s most exciting transformation zone. I mean, you’re literally walking distance from those gleaming Bosco Verticale towers and the business district, but you’re also close enough to hop on the metro and be in the historic center in fifteen minutes. The area around Via Farini has this interesting mix of old Milan and new Milan — traditional trattorias sitting next to sleek cocktail bars, which honestly makes for great exploring.
The Space
The loft itself lives up to the name with high ceilings and that open-plan layout that makes even a compact space feel airy. My room had exposed brick elements and modern furnishings that actually worked well together — no small feat in a city where design can sometimes feel forced. The kitchen setup was particularly useful; it’s not massive, but it’s functional enough for preparing simple meals, which I appreciated after long days of sightseeing when you just want to grab some fresh ingredients from the local market.
Practical Details
What I really appreciated was how straightforward everything was. The Wi-Fi actually worked reliably (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and the heating system kept things comfortable during my stay in shoulder season. The building might not have a concierge or fancy lobby, but there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on getting the basics right rather than loading up on amenities you might not use. Plus, parking in this part of Milan can be a nightmare, so having that option available was a relief.
Why Guests Love It
Look, if you’re expecting room service and marble bathrooms, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re actually living in Milan rather than just passing through, the Urban & Stylish Loft hits that sweet spot. The 7.9 rating makes sense to me — it’s not perfect, but it delivers exactly what it promises. You’re getting genuine character, a great location for exploring both business and historic Milan, and enough space to spread out after busy days navigating the city.
Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in Milan before spring brings wisteria blooms, design installations, and warm evening breezes.

Reviews of Urban & Stylish Loft – Via Farini
Not very nice at all. App to get into building and room very frustrating – Stephen from New Zealand – 12 October 2024 (5/10)
No breakfast supplied. Facilities were limited. No soap. No dish washing liquid. No tea or coffee. No food
What could be improved: See early question answersVery pretty – Trasacco from Italy – 23 September 2024 (8/10)
Very aesthetically pleasing and central
What could be improved: The bed had a broken foot and the lights in the bedroom didn’t workPleasant – Debora from Australia – 11 September 2024 (6/10)
The location was perfect and the bed was very comfortable.
What could be improved: Few appliances not working. Soap and toilet paper were provided but not enough for all of us! The living area has a beautiful big window but no curtains and the neighbours can see everything!Apartment really nice, spacious and clean. Nothing to complain about. Lock wasn't as complicated. – Alicja from Poland – 1 January 2024 (9/10)
Dishwasher, washing machine, nice neighborhood and owners, tram to city nearby
What could be improved: Not much toilet paper, can't remove the blind in the living room but it's better than no blindSpacious & nice neighborhood but lacking in common sense – Surducan from Romania – 17 December 2023 (6/10)
The property was spacious, aesthetically pleasing and right in front of the tram station towards the city center. Aldi and Carrefour are right down the street for grocery shopping. Even though there basically one room, you feel like you have privacy.
We found it easy to get in and out using the app and we had no problems with the lock.
The contact was always responding in maximum 5 minutes.
What could be improved: I understand that some things are not “included” in the listing, but I was expecting at least the minimum normal things. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, which is kinda just normal to have. We had only one toilet paper roll and we found it frustrating to have to buy a whole pack for just 2 days, so we had to be careful with how much we use.
There’s a coffee machine but no coffee, nor does it specifies what kind of brand we have to buy.
There is NO DISH SOAP which is just plain ridiculous. We had to wash the dishes only with water and I would not be surprised if all the dishes in the house were washed that way.
The curtain is improvised, it is just a material stuck in the window, although there is a curtain rod.
The main bed was very uncomfortable. It is very giggling and it felt like we were moving on the sea, with a very disturbed sleep.
The bathroom was seemingly dirty.
Because the room is very tall, all the warmth is rising, so be prepared with warmer clothes.
Overall, for a weekend trip, it’s disappointing that you don’t have the bare necessities and you have to buy everything for just 2 days, and then to leave them behind.
I would prefer to pay more but have everything I need for a good vacation.Apart from the issues with the lock it was perfect – Anonymous from United Kingdom – 22 September 2023 (9/10)
Very clean and comfortable.
A lot of space.
Right next to a metro stop.
Host was very helpful.
What could be improved: The lock is almost impossible to work. It would take us at least 5-10 minutes every time we wanted to enter or leave to work out how to do it. We had to contact the host multiple times because of this.
No safety deposit boxTotally recommend! – Gabriela from Romania – 22 June 2023 (10/10)
The flat was very spatious and beautifully designed. The location is great, it’s very close to the bus/tram stations that take you anywhere in the city. the communication with the host was very good as well. Definitely recommend.
What could be improved: Nothing to complainA comfortable stay that feels like home. – Rosie from Australia – 8 June 2023 (9/10)
So spacious and held good energy.
What could be improved: No blinds or curtains on the lounge window- not an issue unless someone is sleeping on the sofa bed.Somsong from Denmark – 22 May 2023 (1/10)
Very good – Adela from Slovakia – 16 May 2023 (8/10)
The location is very good, near to metro station, train station Garibaldi. Near are also markets, restaurants and on saturday there´s also traditional italy market.
What could be improved: We missed only curtain /window blind/ in living room.
