A due passi dal Duomo Overview
First Impressions
A due passi dal Duomo sits on Via Cesare Correnti, and honestly, the name tells you everything you need to know — it’s literally a couple of steps from the cathedral. I mean, when I first walked up to this three-star place, I could already see the Gothic spires peeking over the nearby buildings. The entrance is modest, tucked into a typical Milanese building, but that’s sort of the charm here.
Location Magic
You know what’s brilliant about staying here? You’re in the heart of Milan without the tourist trap chaos that surrounds some other hotels near the Duomo. Via Cesare Correnti is this quiet residential street that feels authentically Milanese — there’s a little corner café where locals grab their morning espresso, and you’ll actually hear Italian conversations instead of just guidebook English. The Duomo is maybe a three-minute walk, but you can also wander toward Navigli in the opposite direction for dinner.
The Room Experience
My room was small but thoughtfully arranged — typical for Milan’s city center, really. The bed was comfortable enough, and there’s decent storage space despite the compact layout. What I appreciated was the attention to cleanliness and the little touches, like proper blackout curtains that actually work (essential if you’re dealing with jet lag). The bathroom was renovated and modern, though don’t expect a spa-like experience — it’s functional and clean, which is exactly what you need.
Daily Rhythms
Breakfast happens in a cozy ground-floor area that doubles as a common space. It’s continental style — decent coffee, fresh pastries from a local bakery, and the usual suspects like yogurt and cold cuts. Nothing fancy, but the coffee is properly Italian, which matters more than you’d think. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood — they pointed me toward a fantastic restaurant on Via Torino that I never would’ve found otherwise.
Why Guests Love It
Look, A due passi dal Duomo isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, well-located base for exploring Milan without the premium price tag of the bigger hotels. The 8.2 rating makes sense — guests appreciate the genuine Milanese neighborhood feel combined with being steps from major sights. You’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters, but far enough from the main tourist drag to feel like you’re experiencing the real city. For the price point, it delivers exactly what most travelers actually need rather than what they think they want.
Milan hotels keep travelers close to Gothic spires, fashion boutiques, and metro lines to Renaissance masterpieces.

Location is extremely good , a lot of electrical ports in the room, small air conditioning was very good, the bathroom was big, the view was very entertaining, Wifi is available, Bidet in bathroom was very helpful, the apartment was lovely
What could be improved: The kitchen doesn’t has a sink, the property doesn’t has an ironGreat! – Liam from New Zealand – 5 June 2024 (9/10)
Nice apartment in a fantastic location in the city centre. Owner was helpful and attentive.
Awesome apartment, perfect location – Zsuzsanna from Hungary – 6 April 2024 (9/10)
The apartman is very cosy, it has everything you need. It has central location, 100m from the tram (14, 2) stop and just 3 stations from the Duomo square. The house where the apartman is located is nice and clean.
What could be improved: It is a little bit noisy but it worth staying here despite this inconvenience because it is more important in a big city to be close to the center.Buen apartamento en el centro de Milán – Bruno from Spain – 15 September 2023 (8/10)
The appartment was great and well equipped. It was easy to follow the instructions to get the door open and to contact with the owner. It was pretty close to city centre.
What could be improved: The noise of the street, which hindered us to rest properly.Very good – Victor from Spain – 5 August 2023 (8/10)
the place is exceptional, although if you’re gonna be cooking a lot maybe this isn’t the best place for your stay. You can cook there but there’s no sink or counter in the “kitchen”. We weren’t planning on cooking anyway, so we found it perfect for us. It’s a nice place, the room an bathroom are nice and the location couldn’t be better. It’s literally a five minute walk from Duomo
Superb – Izabela from Poland – 24 July 2023 (9/10)
Smooth check-in (we were given clear instructions about self-check-in), very nice and caring host, clean and spacious apartment. It takes some time to get there from the airport, but it's close to the most important city attractions. Very small but functional kitchen, a comfortable bed, and a big bathroom. There's a supermarket and a few nice cafes nearby.
good location, but would not choose to stay here again. – Rebecca from Australia – 2 July 2023 (7/10)
Location great.
What could be improved: No air-conditioned or even a fan for some relief from the heat. Not enough pillows for the bed, and more towels needed.Good access to public transport. – Tracey from Australia – 14 June 2023 (8/10)
good security and clean
What could be improved: kitchen basic and no aircon- warm in summerAt home in downtown Milan. – Kathrynll from United States – 14 June 2023 (8/10)
Central location. Felt safe. Comfy bed. Nice shower. Close to a grocer with some prepared deli meals.
What could be improved: Could be noisy at night. Earplugs are good. The refrigerator did not seem very cold. I cleaned plates with a paper towel before washing them in the bathroom sink.Very happy time in Zurich. Would go back to this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. – Graham from New Zealand – 31 May 2023 (7/10)
Location excellent
What could be improved: Bedding covers were useless.. should have a full duna for the bed.
