Alessia’s Flat – Sarpi 3 Overview
First Impressions
Alessia’s Flat – Sarpi 3 sits right in the heart of Milan’s Chinatown, and honestly, that’s what makes it so interesting. The building itself is classic Milanese — you know, those beautiful old facades that make you slow down and actually look up from your phone. What struck me first was how this four-star place manages to feel both polished and genuinely homey at the same time.
The Neighborhood Vibe
Via Paolo Sarpi is actually one of those streets that locals love but tourists often miss. You’re literally surrounded by authentic Chinese restaurants, dim sum spots, and little shops selling everything from hand-pulled noodles to imported teas. I mean, stepping out for dinner here feels like a mini adventure every single night. The Sempione district means you’re walking distance to Parco Sempione and the castle, but without the touristy chaos that comes with staying right in the center.
The Space Itself
The apartment setup is what really won me over — it’s not just another hotel room with the same generic layout. Alessia clearly put thought into the design, mixing modern touches with those charming Italian details that you can’t fake. The kitchen is actually functional (not just for show), which is rare in Milan accommodations, and you’ll appreciate that when you want to grab fresh produce from the local markets.
What Works in Practice
The 8.2 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here a few days. Parking in this part of Milan can be a nightmare, but they’ve sorted that out, which honestly saves you so much stress if you’re driving. The space feels more like borrowing a friend’s well-appointed flat than staying in a typical hotel — there’s personality in the details, from the lighting choices to how the furniture is arranged.
Why Guests Love It
What I keep coming back to is the authenticity of the whole experience. You’re not in a tourist bubble here — you’re in a real Milan neighborhood where people actually live and work. The morning routine of grabbing coffee from the local bar, wandering through the market stalls, and then coming back to a comfortable, stylish space… well, it just feels right. Plus, when you want to hit the major sights, you’re connected but not overwhelmed by the crowds that camp out around the Duomo area.
Milan hotels keep travelers close to Gothic spires, fashion boutiques, and metro lines to Renaissance masterpieces.

Spacious apartment. Location is excellent (30' on foot from Duomo) with nearby transportation (metro and tram). Chinatown Neighborhood is very alive during night time with loads of chinese food options. Definitely recommended!
What could be improved: Only negative is the sofa that turns into bed. Not comfortable for sleeping.Good – Dina from Lithuania – 4 November 2024 (7/10)
Great location, and good properties for this amount of money.
What could be improved: Dirty dishes, tables, towers, sofa in the living room are not comfortable to sleepGood value for money – Victoria from United Kingdom – 24 July 2024 (8/10)
The property is a good value for the money and in a nice area. The communication with the owner and the check in were very easy.
What could be improved: However, there wasn’t a kitchen towel for our hands in the kitchen so we had to use one of the bathroom ones which weren’t many to begin with for 3 guests. Other than that very good and good communication with owner.Superb – Camelia from Saudi Arabia – 2 July 2024 (9/10)
I liked that it was close to the tram way so it was easy to explore the city. All the facilities are as described. It was safe and had good internet.
What could be improved: The street is busy so it can be a bit noisy at night. Closing the windows solved the noise issue.good – Chandni from Netherlands – 20 May 2024 (7/10)
it was spacious and clean
What could be improved: location was noisy and no curtain in the bathroomHappy!!! – Charlie from Sweden – 8 April 2024 (10/10)
Alessias flat is really nice and good located. The trem stop is nearby and its easy to go around in Milan. The only thing is the shower in the bathroom. The water goes out on the toilet floor if you don't shower with your back to the wall. Just sayin 🙂 me and my kids had a lovely time in Milan and in this awesome flat. Happy!!!
Superb – Aneta from Slovakia – 1 April 2024 (9/10)
Nice apartment with everything you need, clean and nice communication with owner. The only thing is that it was sometimes noisy from other appartment but that´s not the owners fault.
