Lorenteggio might not ring bells for first-time visitors, but it’s actually brilliant if you want authentic Milan without the tourist crowds. You’re about 20 minutes from the Duomo by metro — the Bande Nere station is your friend here. What I love is how you can grab groceries at the local market, duck into family-run trattorias, and still reach all the major sights without breaking the bank on transport.

The Space

The apartment setup means you get proper living space, not just a cramped hotel room. There’s a functional kitchen that’s perfect for morning coffee or storing those late-night gelato purchases (we’ve all been there). The four-star rating feels spot-on — everything works well, the WiFi doesn’t quit on you, and the decor strikes that balance between homey and polished.

What Makes It Work

Angela clearly knows what travelers actually need. The washing machine is a godsend if you’re doing the European backpack thing, and there’s decent parking if you’re brave enough to drive in Milan. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel — kids playing in the courtyard, neighbors chatting on balconies, that sort of thing. It’s the Milan you don’t see in guidebooks.

  Location is great, close to a metro station but in a rather quiet part of the city. Mosquito protection at the windows is a great idea, because there are quite many mosquitoes in the summer in this area. The apartment is really cozy and it was very clean

  Very nice and clean studio, comfortable, în a qiuet area and very close to the metro and bus station, also at 5 minutes there is a market for current shoppings. We were welcomed with wine and coffe and we enjoy our stay .

  Amazing apartment!
  My stay at this apartment was fantastic! It was clean, spacious, and had all the equipment I could ask for. The host was incredibly welcoming and made sure I had a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!
  
  What could be improved: While the apartment is a bit further out, it's still conveniently served by several bus lines. So, despite the distance, getting around was manageable. Overall, a great stay!

  The apartment is exact like the picture, we received a bottle of wine from Host. Danke!! The Location is a bit outside, we walked slowly to Basillica Santa Maria for 30 minutes, then continue to centre, no problem…
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom has a bit mold on the hidden area, It is better to eliminate it before too late.
  It can be quite loud when other guests arriving or checking out.
  
  IT IS ABSOLUTE QUIET DURING SLEEPING TIME !!!
