First Impressions

AXYHOTELS InnStyle Milano caught me off guard in the best way possible. Walking up to this four-star property on Viale Tunisia, I wasn’t expecting much — honestly, the area around Centrale station can feel a bit rough around the edges. But step inside and you’re hit with this sleek, contemporary design that feels more boutique than business hotel.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about staying near Milan‘s main train station — you’re literally two minutes from Centrale on foot, which means easy airport connections and day trips to Lake Como. The yellow line metro is right there too, so you can be in the Duomo area in about ten minutes. Sure, the immediate neighborhood isn’t the prettiest, but there’s something authentic about it that the tourist zones lack.

The Room Experience

My room was compact but smartly designed — they’ve really maximized every inch without making it feel cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and I mean that as someone who’s pretty picky about mattresses. What impressed me most was the attention to detail: proper reading lights, enough outlets (thank you!), and a bathroom that actually had decent water pressure.

Food & Neighborhood Dining

The breakfast spread is solid — nothing fancy, but fresh pastries, good coffee, and enough variety to fuel your day. What’s really great though is the neighborhood’s authentic dining scene. There’s this little trattoria called Da Giacomo just around the corner that locals actually frequent, and a morning market on Via Tadino where you can grab incredible focaccia.

The staff genuinely seems to care — they helped me figure out the best route to Navigli without that rehearsed tourism spiel. Plus, with a 9.5 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who appreciates how they’ve managed to create something special in an area that most people just pass through on their way somewhere else.

  This stylish hotel in beautiful porta venezia is an absolute gem.
  The staff is warm and welcoming, available 24/7 and always with a smile and a tip.
  The decor and art are lovely and inspiring.
  The lobby offers free beverages and snacks throughout the day.
  The breakfast is vast and delicious with fresh fruits and vegetables, and you can enjoy a free buffet through most of the day.
  The room is fully equipt with espresso machine and tea pot and complimentary mini bar and slippers.
  The walk to the Doumo is 30 minutes but the way is very beautiful, or you can use a metro station, whish is right outside the hotel.
  No doubt in my mind I will be returning to this hotel at my next visit to this beautiful city.

  Every single staff member was professional to perfection.
  The hotel offered multiple complementary buffets free of charge.
  It was spacious and comfortable even in the lounges.
  The hotel private car service was very helpful as well.
  Davide was a literal angel and arranged for a surprise in our room for my wife's birthday.
  
  What could be improved: The walls are pretty thin. you can hear every word being said on the corridors and the cleaning service from adjacent rooms woke me up every morning. windows are pretty thick though so you can't hear street noise.

  This hotel is a true 4 star! The 4 star rating is credited because of an amazing staff who have clearly been trained in the art of customer service ! Everyone was so helpful, kind, and courteous and, with a smile!..The hotel is beautiful and the perks of available refreshments 24/7 is a plus!..
