B&B Hotel Milano Cenisio Garibaldi Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to B&B Hotel Milano Cenisio Garibaldi on Via Messina, you immediately get that “this is exactly what I needed” feeling. It’s a clean, modern three-star property that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — and honestly, that’s refreshing in Milan where so many places either go overboard or fall short. The lobby is bright and efficiently designed, with that distinctly Italian approach to making small spaces feel welcoming.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re in Sempione, which means you’re actually living like a Milanese person rather than just passing through. The Porta Garibaldi area has this great energy with locals heading to work and families doing their daily shopping. You can walk to the Bosco Verticale towers in about ten minutes, and the green space of Parco Sempione is close enough that you’ll find yourself strolling there in the evenings. The metro connections are solid too, so getting to the Duomo or navigating the city is pretty straightforward.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully laid out — you know how some budget places just cram everything in? Not here. The bed was genuinely comfortable, and the air conditioning worked properly (which, if you’ve spent a summer in Milan, you’ll appreciate). The bathroom was modern and clean, with a decent shower that had proper water pressure. There’s free Wi-Fi throughout, and it actually works well enough for video calls if you’re mixing business with travel.

Practical Touches

What struck me was how they handle the little things that matter when you’re traveling. The breakfast setup is simple but covers what you need — good coffee (this is Italy, after all), fresh pastries, and enough variety to start your day right. The staff speaks English well and seems genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions. Parking is available if you’re driving, though honestly, you probably won’t need a car much in this part of the city.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy interiors. But it delivers exactly what most travelers actually want — a clean, comfortable place to sleep in a great location without paying tourist-trap prices. The 8.2 rating makes sense because it consistently meets expectations without any nasty surprises. If you’re the type who spends most of your time exploring the city anyway, B&B Hotel Milano Cenisio Garibaldi gives you a solid home base without the fuss.

Reviews of B&B Hotel Milano Cenisio Garibaldi

  • Great for travellers and easy navigating the travel for first time visitors in Milan – Jan from United Kingdom – 4 December 2025 (9/10)

The hotel room was really clean and close to Chinatown Milan, around 12 minutes walk and metro is 4 minutes walk, great for travelling

What could be improved: A room attendant took my re-usable makeup pads and my mum’s white flannel, understandable that both item may are white just like the hotel’s towels but They wish they’re more careful.

  • Superb – Sohini from Mauritius – 9 November 2025 (9/10)

Everything perfect but I find it weird that hotels in milan do not provide at least 1 bot of water in room, & no kettle for tea coffee is quite inconvenient apart from that Everything was perfect, room just perfect for a lengthy stay, luminous, bright, clean, well ventilated & ample space to store stuff.
Breakfast seem excellent, maybe on my upcoming stay i will try
Terrace was just what is needed after a long day out, just chill out with a coffee or wine

What could be improved: No drinking water in room

  • Very good – Jordan from United Kingdom – 5 August 2025 (8/10)

The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The hotel was emasculate clean.

What could be improved: We had to ask every day for the aircon to be turned on.

  • Beautiful and modern hotel. Perfect location, near Porta Garibaldi, metro and tram. Nice breakfast option. Perfect to st – Facundo from Spain – 4 August 2025 (9/10)

Modern and functional hotel. Perfect location and good service.

  • A good price for milan and we were not unhappy, all clean and convenient but oh those pillows need replacing! – Ruth from United Kingdom – 4 August 2025 (7/10)

Good price, near tram stop, clean, all serviceable.

What could be improved: The pillows were so uncomfortable. The nightclub next door stayed open til 4 i think and even though we were on the 8th floor, the base was audible and a bit annoying.

  • Great hotel good transport links – Liz from United Kingdom – 2 July 2025 (8/10)

Close to a metro station, easy to find, friendly and clean

What could be improved: Air con was a bit difficult to control

  • Superb – Mariana from Albania – 16 June 2025 (9/10)

    Every thing is ok!

  • Very good – Jessica from United Kingdom – 21 April 2025 (8/10)

very clean & comfortable & all of the staff were so friendly! the little shop in reception was useful too to quickly grab water or snacks when coming back from a long day out

What could be improved: the fact there was only one plug socket in the whole room. as there was two of us staying in the room, this wasn’t ideal

  • The apartment and hotel are good and with a good service. – Wellinghton from Brazil – 11 March 2025 (9/10)

The apartment is very clean and the location is good.

What could be improved: Not applicable.

  • Superb – Katherine from United Kingdom – 18 February 2025 (9/10)

Great location for the Metro and Garibaldi. Very easy to get to Mapensa airport too. Cheerful staff on front desk. Good size bedroom. Good, hot shower. Quiet and comfy bed. Walkable into the city. Good pizza restaurant nearby (Ambita). Goid value for money. Kettle in the lobby to make a hot drink (take your own or buy coffee/tea bag).

What could be improved: Curtains are only just long enough for the window so let light in underneath, which is a shame as the room would be lovely and dark if they were longer. Breakfast didn't start until 7 and we had to leave for a flight.
