BB Hotels Aparthotel Arcimboldi Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked into BB Hotels Aparthotel Arcimboldi, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much — it’s tucked away in the Bicocca district, which most tourists skip entirely. But you know what? That turned out to be exactly why I loved it. The lobby has this clean, modern feel without trying too hard, and the staff actually seemed genuinely happy to help rather than just going through the motions.
The Bicocca Advantage
Here’s the thing about staying in Milan’s Bicocca area — everyone thinks you need to be right in the centro storico, but they’re missing out. This four-star aparthotel sits right near the Bicocca-Zara metro stops, which means you’re actually connected to everything that matters. I mean, you can reach the Duomo in about 20 minutes, but when you come back at night, you’re in this quieter, more residential part of the city where locals actually live and work.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was technically an apartment, and that made all the difference for my week-long stay. Having a proper kitchenette meant I could grab fresh ingredients from the nearby markets — there’s this great little place just a few blocks away that the front desk told me about. The space felt more like a temporary home than a hotel room, with enough storage that I didn’t have to live out of my suitcase the whole time.
Practical Perks
What I really appreciated were the details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for more than a night or two. The Wi-Fi actually works properly throughout the building, there’s decent parking if you’re driving (which in Milan is basically a miracle), and the housekeeping team respects your schedule rather than banging on your door at 8 AM. The building also has this small fitness area and business corner that I ended up using more than I expected.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place you’ll Instagram every corner of — it’s not trying to be flashy or trendy. But after staying here, I totally get why it has such solid ratings. It’s the kind of spot where business travelers and longer-stay visitors end up becoming regulars because everything just works smoothly. Plus, being near the university area means there are actually decent, affordable places to eat nearby that aren’t tourist traps. If you want to experience Milan like someone who lives here rather than just passing through, this aparthotel gets it right.
Hotels in Milan dot historic Brera district, cathedral squares, and design quarters brimming with artisan workshops.

The apartment layout was great, it had a very spacious exterior balcony, the bed was comfortable and the Milan Duomo is only an 1 hour walk away. Lots of storage space and a spacious bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Parking space available on site for 15€ per day or paid parking spots by the side of the road for only 1.2€ per hour during weekdays.
What could be improved: We didn't have a hot iron for clothes or a full body mirror.Exceptional – Gabriel from Denmark – 22 September 2025 (10/10)
