The Porta Romana metro stop is actually walkable from here, so getting into the city center takes maybe 15 minutes tops. Plus, there’s this great little market area nearby where locals do their shopping, and I mean the real locals, not just people passing through.

The Space

The apartment setup works brilliantly if you’re staying for more than a couple nights. You get a proper kitchen (nothing fancy, but it does the job), and the space feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a hotel room. The furnishing is pretty basic — think IKEA meets Italian practicality — but everything’s clean and functional. The bed’s comfortable enough, and there’s decent storage space for your stuff.

Daily Life

What surprised me was how easy it became to slip into a routine here. Morning coffee at the little bar down the street, quick grocery runs for essentials, evening walks through the neighborhood. There’s parking available if you’re driving, which is honestly a relief in Milan where finding a spot can be a nightmare. The area quiets down nicely at night, so you’ll actually get some sleep.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t going to wow you with amenities or fancy touches, but it delivers exactly what it promises — a clean, comfortable base in a real Milanese neighborhood. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you consider the value. You’re paying for location, space, and the freedom to live like a local for a few days. If you need room service and daily housekeeping, maybe look elsewhere. But if you want to experience Milan from a neighborhood perspective rather than a touristy one, this place hits the mark perfectly.

  Die Unterkunft ist super gelegen, hat alles, was man braucht und der Gastgeber Francesco war für alle Fragen und Bedüfnisse sofort zu erreichen.

  Very nice accommodation in a location that is a great base for exploring the city – tram stop right next to the house, metro about 100 m away. We can recommend it with a clear conscience – except perhaps for people with limited mobility and families with very small children, as the stairs to the upper floor are comfortable, but would cause difficulties for these groups. However, the apartment's amenities are above standard – the kitchen and bathroom facilities are great, and the washing machine, slippers, and full container of ground coffee are really TOP!
  The host, Francesco, is extremely accommodating, willing to help and advise. Communication with him was absolutely problem-free.
  Thank you very much, we really enjoyed our stay in Milan thanks to him.

  È stato un soggiorno semplicemente perfetto! L’appartamento si trova in una posizione centrale, a due passi da Porta Romana, e in pochissimo tempo siamo riusciti a raggiungere il Duomo, sia a piedi che con il tram.
  L’ambiente è davvero accogliente, super pulito e fornito di kit sonno e kit bagno compreso di asciugamani,un dettaglio davvero speciale, perché raramente presenti negli appartamenti.
  La casa è silenziosa, dotata di tutti gli accessori per la cucina, oltre che di aria condizionata e riscaldamento: perfetta per affrontare al meglio le temperature milanesi!

  Abitazione molto accogliente, situata in una zona eccellente di Milano, perfetta se si vuole visitare la città senza avere problemi con il trasporto pubblico, inoltre vista la sua posizione strategia, ti permette di visitare alcune delle principali attrazioni che Milano ha da offrire senza dover per forza prendere i mezzi. La casa al suo interno è molto luminosa, moderna, spaziosa e pulita e molto fornita a livello di servizi. Il proprietario è stato molto cordiale e disponibile a soddisfare ogni mia esigenza. In generale non posso che consigliare a tutti l'alloggio, perché è difficile trovare competitor migliori. Sicuramente sarà la mia prima scelta quando tornerò a Milano.
