Honestly, BNB MAX – Exclusive studio – Central station caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know that feeling when you’re expecting something basic near a train station, but then you walk into a space that’s actually been thoughtfully designed? That’s exactly what happened here. The studio feels more like a modern apartment than typical hotel accommodation — and I mean that as a high compliment.

Location That Actually Works

Look, I’ve stayed near plenty of central stations, and usually “convenient” means “noisy and sketchy.” But this spot on Via Lodovico Settala is different. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Milano Centrale, which is perfect if you’re catching early trains or arriving late, but the street itself is surprisingly quiet. What I really appreciated was being able to walk to the Porta Garibaldi area in about fifteen minutes — that’s where Milan gets interesting with its aperitivo bars and newer restaurants.

The Studio Space

The room itself is what sells this place. It’s compact, sure, but everything has been maximized really cleverly. The kitchenette actually functions — I’m talking full-size fridge, proper stovetop, even decent counter space for prepping meals. The bed sits on a raised platform that creates this nice separation from the living area, so it doesn’t feel like you’re sleeping in your kitchen (which, let’s be honest, happens a lot with studio setups).

The Details Matter

What impressed me most were the small touches that show someone actually thought about how travelers live. The Wi-Fi is genuinely fast — I worked from here for two days without issues. The shower has excellent pressure, which you can’t take for granted in older Milan buildings. There’s even proper blackout curtains, not those flimsy hotel panels that let in every bit of morning light. The air conditioning works quietly, which is crucial during Milan’s surprisingly muggy summers.

Why Guests Love It

This four-star spot hits that sweet spot between independence and service that’s hard to find. You get your own space with everything you need, but there’s still proper housekeeping and someone to call if things go wrong. The 8.5 rating makes sense — it’s the kind of place where small inconveniences are rare, and the big stuff (location, cleanliness, functionality) is handled really well. If you’re the type who likes having options for meals and prefers space to spread out, this works better than a traditional hotel room.

  The accomodation is well equipped all goods what needed. The bed is very comfortable, all the flat is beautiful clean. The center is easily and quickly available. The owner is extra kind, helpful and flexible.

  Very comfortable studio, the bed is a sofa bed but very comfortable. Its easy walking from Centrale and walkable to Milanos main attractions and shopping. Public transport options close by as well as supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. Max was so welcoming and helpful with early check in and some difficulty accessing the building due to technology failures. Overall very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
  As a point of interest Via Lodovico Settala is named after the 16th Century Physicist and his portrait is nearby in the Museum at Palazzo Murando.
  
  What could be improved: Some minor maintenance and attention to detail but this certainly didn't detract from my stay.

  Pretty good apartment, nice size. Very good location for exploring Milan, close to the airport and to the metro. Apartment has a very weird setup, but it functions.
  
  What could be improved: Owner has not configured the house number in the booking system. We only discovered this when we were already in the taxi, and then had to call the owner. This should be visible immediately. The bed was uncomfortable, more like a futon. There was only a sheet, no blanket, so it was a bit chilly.

  First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to the owner of the apartment) a friendly person who is always in touch!!! We often come to Milan and the most important thing is comfortable accommodation in which you will feel good) the apartment looks exactly like in the photo, there is everything you need. The sofa bed turned out to be very comfortable, good pillows and a mattress. The kitchen had everything you needed, in the bathroom too. The location is ideal, because it is close to transport, the train station and grocery store, but it is a very quiet street.
  
  What could be improved: As in any apartment building there were neighbors, one night we were unlucky and there was a party.

  The size of the studio was good for what we paid for. The location was convenient. Public transportation was close by. So were restaurants and food stores.
  
  What could be improved: We had a tough time getting the key. There is no clear explanations about the various switches in the studio – we had a cold shower the first night because the hot water switch for the shower was not on! The faucet was broken. We contacted the owner, he ordered it fixed the following day. Overall the interior had an old house feel despite it was quite tidy.
