You’re actually in the heart of what locals call the “design district” — during Salone del Mobile, this whole area transforms into an outdoor gallery. The Lambrate train station is literally a five-minute walk, which means you can be in the city center in about fifteen minutes. But honestly, you might find yourself wanting to explore this area instead.

The Space Itself

Walking into the apartment, the first thing that hits you is how thoughtfully everything’s been put together. The design feels intentional without being pretentious — clean lines, interesting lighting, and furniture that actually looks like someone with taste picked it out piece by piece. The kitchen is compact but functional, with everything you’d need if you want to grab groceries from the local market and cook something simple.

What Makes It Work

The room itself has this perfect balance of being design-forward while still feeling livable. Large windows let in tons of natural light, and the bed is surprisingly comfortable for a place that’s clearly more focused on aesthetics. There’s decent storage space, which you don’t always get in these boutique spots. The bathroom is modern and well-maintained — nothing groundbreaking, but definitely clean and functional.

Why Guests Love It

What I really appreciate about this place is that it doesn’t try too hard. It’s not pretending to be something it isn’t — just a well-designed space in an interesting part of Milan that gives you a different perspective on the city. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you consider that people come here looking for something more authentic than the typical hotel experience, and that’s exactly what you get. Plus, you’re paying significantly less than you would for similar design-conscious accommodations in the center, but you’re getting way more character and local flavor.

  We stayed for 2 nights. The location was excellent. Near we found a grocery store and we could easily get to the Lambrate FC train and metro station. On our second day we visited Lake Como by train and we were happy to get a train in 5 minutes by walk from this apartment. The accommodation was clean and it had got everything what you need for a short city break. Warm welcome with a battle of water, coffee machine and good selection of teas. Nice and cosy place. The elevator is a little bit tiny but it worked well and the apartment is on the first floor so you can easily access. The host was very kind and always answered my questions quickly.
