The building itself has that understated Italian elegance — nothing flashy, but you can tell someone put thought into the details.

The Neighborhood Feel

This three-star property landed in what I’d call Milan’s sweet spot for travelers who actually want to experience the city. The Porta Nuova district buzzes with energy during the day — you’ve got those gleaming skyscrapers of Bosco Verticale just a short walk away, plus plenty of cafés where locals grab their morning espresso. What I really appreciated though was how it quiets down in the evenings, so you’re not dealing with tourist crowds when you just want to unwind.

Living Space That Works

The apartment setup here makes so much more sense than a traditional hotel room, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights. Each unit comes with a proper kitchenette — and I mean actually functional, not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. The spaces feel genuinely livable, with enough room to spread out your stuff without tripping over your suitcase every time you move around.

Getting Around Milan

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before my first Milan trip — staying near Garibaldi station is actually brilliant for exploring. You can hop on the metro and be in the Duomo area in ten minutes, or catch a train to Lake Como for a day trip without the headache of crossing the entire city first. There’s decent parking nearby if you’re driving, though honestly, you won’t need a car once you’re here.

  The location, right in the heart of the vibrant Chinatown, was fantastic. Within walking distance, you could choose from a variety of Chinese and traditional Italian cuisines.
  The tram stopped right outside, and the train station was a 10-minute walk. It was the perfect base for exploring Milan and the surrounding area.
