Buenos Aires 58 Overview

First Impressions

Buenos Aires 58 sits right on one of Milan’s busiest shopping streets, and honestly, that’s both its charm and challenge rolled into one. The building itself has that classic Milanese architecture — nothing flashy, but solid and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like you’ve found a proper local spot. Walking in, you get the sense this is a three-star place that knows exactly what it is and doesn’t try to be anything more.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally steps from Porta Garibaldi and about a ten-minute walk to Milano Centrale station. The Corso Buenos Aires address means you’re in the thick of Milan’s shopping district, which can be overwhelming during the day but gets surprisingly quiet at night. You know what’s great? The yellow line metro is right there, so getting to the Duomo or anywhere else in the city center is actually pretty effortless.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but smartly designed — they’ve managed to fit everything you need without making it feel cramped. The bathroom was modern enough, and the bed was comfortable (though I mean, Italian hotel beds tend to be firmer than what Americans might expect). What surprised me was how well the windows blocked out the street noise from Corso Buenos Aires — I was worried about that, but slept fine.

Breakfast & Amenities

Breakfast is served in a small dining area downstairs, and while it’s not going to blow you away, it covers the basics well. Good coffee (this is Italy, after all), fresh pastries, and enough variety to get your day started. The staff here seems genuinely helpful — they gave me solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. There’s no spa or fancy amenities, but there’s reliable WiFi and they handle luggage storage without any fuss.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Buenos Aires 58 works because it gets the fundamentals right without any pretense. You’re paying for a clean, comfortable place to sleep in an excellent location — and that’s exactly what you get. The value proposition here is solid, especially if you’re the type who spends most of your time exploring Milan rather than lounging in your hotel. It’s not going to wow you, but it won’t disappoint either, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want from a city break.

Reviews of Buenos Aires 58

  • VERY BAD – Allleks from Greece – 3 December 2025 (1/10)

What could be improved: The room was unacceptable! We couldn't even stay the night and left the accommodation WITHOUT ANY COMPENSATION from the owner. Firstly, the door to the communal area of the apartment building was open when we arrived, which was unacceptable and dangerous. Secondly, there were no blankets or sheets in the room (it was 1 degree outside), the owner told us to take a blanket from another room, and when we opened it, there was NOT even a blanket there. the room had no heating and even though it seemed to be on, it was freezing and didn't work, and the water heater, even though it was on, had no hot water. Finally, the floor was very dirty and there were bugs on the ceiling. After all this, we called the owner, who was very rude and simply told us to leave, saying he couldn't do anything. He really doesn't deserve a single euro of the 135 we paid, and he didn't even refund us that or the tax!

What could be improved: Just take your keys with you everywhere, even you go to the kitchen 😅

  • NOT WORTH IT – Yikai from United Kingdom – 24 June 2024 (1/10)

I booked a triple room and when we arrived there was one bed missing, so we waited in the room for 40 minutes while the landlord arranged for cleaning staff to come and get another bed. And in the closet of the master bedroom, the underwear of the previous resident was found. . . . Just hang it casually in the closet. This is very funny.
