Let me be straight with you about Bicocca-Zara — it’s not central Milan, but that’s not necessarily bad. You’re in a genuine residential area where locals actually live, shop, and go about their daily business. The Zara metro station is walkable, though it’ll take you about 10-12 minutes to get there (I timed it). From there, you can reach the Duomo in roughly 20 minutes, which isn’t terrible for the price point you’re paying here.

What You Get

The suites are spacious — that’s the main selling point and they deliver on it. My room had a separate living area with a decent-sized sofa, which was perfect for spreading out after long days walking around the city. The kitchenette is basic but functional if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Esselunga (there’s one about a 5-minute walk away). Don’t expect fancy appliances, but the essentials work fine.

The Practical Details

Staff here are helpful without being overly formal — they’ll give you directions, restaurant recommendations, and actually seem to know the area well. The building can be a bit quiet at times, almost eerily so, but that means you’ll sleep well. Parking is available, which is genuinely useful if you’re driving in Milan (though I’d question why you’d want to drive here). The WiFi works consistently, and they keep the common areas clean.

Look, Casa da Suite Mirabello isn’t going to wow you with amenities or location, but it offers something increasingly rare in Milan — space and value. If you’re the type who spends most of your time exploring the city and just needs a comfortable base to return to, this works well. The suite setup means you can actually unpack properly and live a bit more normally during your stay, rather than cramming everything into a tiny hotel room. It’s particularly good for longer stays or if you’re traveling with someone and need room to breathe.
